For the love of God please make a video about Modifier Tokens and Dynamic Modifiers. The wiki explains it so poorly its unbelievable.

So state machine wise, we tell the game that under state A when condition X happens, considering parameters S, T and R, by priorities of E, F and G, make of the decisions between 1 to 10... funny thing is, I learned coding concepts far better from modding HOI4 than my academic education...

i am thinking of going to school for coding. I've made a few of my own mods for paradox games. Is it a waste of money to pay for schooling?

@@srctimber I don't think I'm a proper judge for that, the academic diploma in Iran varies in quality from school to school very widely, and my education is now nearly 20 years old, I found it more useful to get trained at workshops and short courses, but I am not quite sure if my college background helped with my efficiency in those classes, I would suggest to do some research before pitching in for the school, talk to their graduates, look into their after education job placement assistance and services if there are any, and look into the market, see what kind of skill and documentation they require and where you can obtain them as quickly as possible, because if you look for a job then go to a school for 4 years then when you come out of the other side your market evaluation is already 4 years old, school is good, but don't let it separate you from the market while you're at it. These were the mistakes I made in my time.

I am making a global mod with completely new map and countries, but the game continues to demand whole old stuff and all I have is great bunch of errors. Is the problem in the map or is it something else? It would be perfect if you do tutorial about how make the game read only mod files.

2:07 i'm fairly sure that if mexico is communist, this line will decrease the factor down to 10, and not add 10 points. adding would be done by the "add" command. Correct me if i'm wrong though.

I don't really understand how units_ratio works... it seems inconsistent and not obvious... This whole AI thing was much easier in HOI3
