debt mechanics, all the debuffs you have to take care, not to mention minority management is broken on most and if you go for Sultan and pick the minority focuses, you end up having 20% attrition throughout the Balkans without a chance of removing them. on top of that, you get 3 coups during the balkan war, and sometimes it fucks up the sultan path (i.e., the saviour officer coup and raid on sublime porte remove him from power without the ability to bring him back). compared to this shitshow, AUH's mechanics seem very easy to manage

Personally I feel like if Austria is in the path to join the Entente, Russia's AI should feel more inclined to join with the Central powers. Historical significance aside, it would definitely make an interesting game

I recommend playing with Italy set to join Central Powers, that way they can trigger the war with France in case of Serbian fiasco somewhere around 1915. (even when tension is 0%) France also has a possibility of getting war goals against Germany without world tension, but from my experience they tend to declare war 1916 the earliest, and once i had to wait until they literally did everything on their god damn focus tree (which was around 1921)
