Proxxon FET Unboxing 27070 or is it?

The saw blade is an error obviously, you can ask them to send the correct one referring them to this unboxing video. The fence is exactly the same as the picture in the box @ 00:05 and the one in the picture of the proxxon website, I don't think you can ask replacement on this. Is a 27070 model, is written on the box @ 00:43

You are right, the picture on the box and on the Proxxon website shows what I have received but if you look in the Proxxon catalog and the video they have on the website, you see a saw with another Fence. The saw I bought was also shown with another Fence and in the description it says that the saw blade is with 24 T. If I search online for a Proxxon saw I find both types of Fence but also two products numbered 27070 and 37070

@@Harris-DIY I don't know how much time passed since you bought, but if you don't like it you can return it, I think every country have this policy. There's no reason to keep something you don't like. Besides that, I recommend you to send an email to proxxon's customer support reporting this issue. If all the customers complain about this, they probably will do one of two things, restore the old style fence from now on (will be good) or change the picture in the catalog (most probably) As for the saw blade, I think if you complain they will fix that quickly The 37070 is exactly the same as the 27070 but rated for 110V (marketed for North America and Japan) Cheer up, I like your videos.

I can send the saw back, it is not a problem but the saw itself seems to be as expected so it is only the new Fence I do not like. The saw blade is fine but I always get a little skeptical when I do not get what I bought. I am testing the saw today and it appears to be approved.

I have mine since Oct/2018 and its that model, that “new” fence and a 36 tooth blade. I mistakenly ordered separately a 36 tooth blade to have both the 24/36 and ended with 2 of tbe same

When I bought my saw number 2 it said that the saw blade was the old one with 24 T but when it was delivered with a saw blade with 36 T. It is not because that saw blade is bad but the one with 24 T is better for plastic and aluminum. I found out that Proxxon no longer makes the saw blade with 24 T, so now I am trying to find alternative saw blades.

All I see for sale now is the 37070 model. It is not uncommon for online adds to show and older model that may not have the same features as the latest version.....sometimes and improvement, sometimes not.

Just received my 37070 and got the 36 tooth blade and the original 27070 style thick fence which I prefer.

It looks about 99% genuine. According to mine, you use the long thinner Allen key to lock the motor spindle to allow blade change. I saw a 37070 advertised few years ago, I just passed it off as a spelling mistook. I was just glad your "new" model didn't come complete with a years use of sawdust!!

Definitely keep the 36 tooth blade!! What does the machine plate on the back say for version number?

Yes John the saw itself looks good enough 27070 and in the manual it is also shown with the Fence and the same is also seen on the Proxxon website but if you look in their catalog it is the other Fence and if you see their own video it is also the other Fence. If I search for 37070 I can find it for sale but I can not find it on the Proxxon website or in their catalog.

I already have the saw blade with 36 T and it is an excellent saw blade but I saw a lot of plastic and aluminum and until then the saw blade with 24 T is clearly better.

@@Harris-DIY I saw mostly thin abs, and find that the micromark with the variable speed helpful. In fact, it's the variable speed that had me decide to purchase the micromark model. However, I find the miter slots too shallow, unfortunately.
