So I started drifting in AC even before I got my drivers license. Now I own a fwd car, so no drifting there, but recently I got an opportunity: A friend of mine knew about my Assetto Corsa shenanigans and offered me to drive his M3 E92. We drove to the nearest empty parking lot and started drifting perfect circles... just kidding, I spun it a bunch of times. ;) But surprisingly after a bit of practice I actually managed some decent drifts and I'm sure after some time I could be pretty good. Goes to show how realistic AC is and how easy it is to translate it to the real world.
@roxyproxyapadeh4 жыл бұрын
So from 1 to 10, how realistic is it? Apart from g force and which mod seem to be more realistic? I am always curious by these...
@hopfaundfelder33754 жыл бұрын
Well, I can talk about the M3 E92. Its pretty accurate I would say. 9 out of 10. The car reacts the way you would expect it to. As for other cars or mods, I have no clue. The drift versions and many mods are very easy to drift, but considering how much torque they have and the tuning that might very well be accurate.

Generally if your ping is under 150ms you can still tandem without too much lag.. There are thousands of members with many new members daily so please check out the awesome content and maybe even look into the competition coming up in January? Here's the discord link: discord.gg/yQxZNvT You'll also find a lot more serious drivers on these servers and quite often you can jump into a server with just vr headset users with good sim wheel setups and you won't have as much trouble with noobs crashing into you all the time..

If anyone is just getting into sim racing, heres some stuff I've learned over a couple of years. 1. If a sim handbrake is out of your budget, buy an old flightstick. (I use a Logitech Attack 2) You can find them at pawnshops, Goodwills and garage sales for super cheap. 2. When you first buy pedals, buy a can of electronics cleaner spray. The pedal-height sensors get random stuff in them, like dust and pet hair. This can cause random input spikes when you're not touching anything, and prevent you from going full throttle. It's really really annoying for racing, and I spent a long time trying to figure out what was wrong. (I thought it was software)

what wheel settings? how on earth are you drifting in this game with a g29?i am not a drifter or even good driver irl by any means. but i do occasionally do the odd powerslide in my altezza. and irl its easy. but in assetto corsa i just cant drift. i feel half the problem is the g29 wheel rotation being too slow. so id have to learn to manually throw the wheel. and turn ffb off or at least way down. the other half is made up by me just not having any drifting experience or knoweledge, being impatient etc and also not being able to feel the forces of a real car, not feeling the car starting to break traction and shift sideways until its too late etc. but the g29 at 900degrees just feels really really hard to drift with. ive found vr helps because i feel the rotation of the car better and can look into the corners etc. like when sideways instead of staring at the apex (for e.g a cliff) i can just look ahead at the direction the car is going instead of direction the car is facing.

My take on this video is i agree with everything except the fact that you use tando buddie cars. Do yourself a huge favor and drive either dw cars or wdts, those drive way better and are way more realistic aswell. Also the quality of the mods are better too

Is this game on Xbox and what wheel would you recommend because I really wanted one for a long time and I got a thrustmaster Ferrari wheel from a friend but it isnt the greatest

Neyo xbox doesnt have any of the mods. The 3 kunos drift cars get real old after a bit. Unless youre on PC its not worth it.

Love the C33 Laurel Tando Buddies car!! Need a C32 though.

Pretty sure the DTP pack has it. If not one of the more popular mod packs does because i used to drive it all the time.

I have both this and PC2, though I lean towards PC2 on the game pad. I had no idea AC had modding, as it's just flat out terrible to drive on a game pad to the point I gave up and uninstalled it awhile back. May have another go with this news however!

Could you do a video of your wheel mods/upgrades what it took to do them, and cost?

Could you please do a modding guide? I'm computer illiterate and want to get out of the stock cars and tracks

i thought the G29 was no good for drifting? many people say you have to fight the gears, when you'd usually just let go of the wheel when you start a drift, they say belt driven or direct drive wheels feel just like the real thing.
@HokiHoshi3 жыл бұрын
It all comes down to budget really, you can 100% drift, and drift well, on a g29. Direct drive is ofcourse going to be better though, and 4x the price. Cheaper belt drive wheels run into the issue of the belt slipping making the wheel feel imprecise, but a nicer belt driven wheel is definitely a fine choice!

I use my Phone as a vr headset, its laggy but thats just my pc because its a GTX 760, I dont have any problems with motion sickness, but the lag does annoy a small bit, Regardless, its always fun to drift a touge in the rain at night in a R32..

Bro I had to get a TX leather. My 920 broke. Like it would come off center and I’d have to reset after each turn. I’m glad it seems to work fine for you. Mine did do good for about 1.5 years. But the thrustmaster is miles better for sure

Accetto corsa is the best racing/drifting game I have ever played but unfortunately its online community is dying off. Touge lobby's are almost always full but drifting lobby's are mostly empty all the time.
