I’m 26 and a huge fan of Miami vice. Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas (tubbs) were 2 cool dudes. Very good looking guys too, just such cool dudes. Love don Johnson, he’s always so great in stuff. He seems like a really nice guy too

Same here. Thank goodness for Pluto, but I've been thinking of buying the full DVD set. Lately I've been watching the ending and other clips from "Little Miss Dangerous", season 2 episode 16 and listening to PiL's "this is what you want this is what you get" over and over.

Thanks, Mr. Eisen. I thoroughly enjoyed that interview, and your post interview banter. I am a 67 year old Italian man who watched Miami Vice, and was influenced by Don Johnson’s sartorial splendor. The problem? I was in good shape but I did no justice to the Don Johnson look. In fact, I tried once and was mercilessly heckled by my buddies so I never wore the $200 white Armani jacket again. Note: You are not the first Jewish man who claimed to be Italian, or mimicked Italians. (Henry Winkler as the Fonz; Rodney Dangerfield’s great joke…”are you kidding? I know that my Jewish wife sleeps with Vinnie because he is a great lover, but married me because I’m a good provider.” I butchered that joke.

As a kid growing up in Miami in the '80's you couldn't wait until Friday night to watch "The Vice" also, watching reruns brings back memories of old Miami.

When I was a kid growing up in the 80s and watching Miami Vice , my uncle was an investigator, and I always thought he must’ve really pissed off his boss or something. Because Crockett always had the high dollar suits and the fast expensive-exotic cars, while my uncle drove a crown vick….lol

don Johnson's sense of style in the 80s would still run laps around young men of today who think a pair of gay-fit ripped jeans and a hoodie with sneakers is somehow cool. and they wonder why women of today get more aroused from cell phone use than these lames of today..smh

@@Snowboy2015 Definitely. I sport it for many years now. But it is about understanding how to mix colors and shapes. Not just trying to be a carbon copy of Sonny Crockett. Also it does not work on everyone.

That was a New York thing 79 80 I wore a linen type jacket white chams de baren shirts rust pleated pants off white mesh shoes sleeves rolled up cause I lived in New York stationed in the Coast Guard New York very Fashion Forward along with Paris Italy but yes living there informed my style even now. Being from Philly 90 miles away my Family liked my style even dancing going to the Club's the Woman who became my wife even said You were wearing that before Miami vice it originated in New York I didn't start just borrowed. Even in mid 70s I liked the 40s and 50s style. Big baggy pleats Over sized jackets not quite the norm Rich Eison great show Don Johnson great actor

I dig the "Miami Vice" look, but I never remember anyone wearing that style in the 80s. For decades they've been making it sound like we all just wore Don Johnson outfits all of the time and that's just 100% not true.
