I wouldn’t even say the ending is the problem. I mean it’s not great and that stupid run through a dream sequence and kill a bad guy is overplayed by now. We’re tired of it what they really should’ve done is interconnected the games like Cold War, and six to the first two just look at how black ops one ended and then interconnected with the beginning of black ops two and the introduction of Menendez the devs didn’t repeat that with black ops, Cold War or six. Imagine if in this game, the cradle was actually an adapted version of nova six then imagine what would’ve transpired if we got to see Saddam working Menendez only to find out that Mendez betrayed Saddam to get his hands on the cradle then imagine if Alex Mason murdered Jane’s parents during the five years, he was MIA and rogue from 63 to 68 after he escaped Vorkuta got captured by Hudson at rebirth after killing Steiner. I say that because Hudson and Weaver would’ve gotten samples of nova six considering they survived a release of the chemical weapon at rebirth therefore, the CIA would’ve had access to it, and Janes’s parents could’ve been the lead scientist trying to re-create or improve nova six in America. In which case that would objectively put them on Mason‘s radar . I only say that because that would objectively connect the games, villains and characters together like we haven’t seen since Black ops one and two then you’d be able to draw similarities like how David followed after his father and became a soldier. Jane followed after her parents and continued working with chemical weapons. I also mentioned Menendez and the cradle because objectively black ops 2 changed the formula and it wasn’t about mind control and poisonous gas/ a chemical weapon It was about to terrorist with a EMP who mentally manipulated David we all know Menendez would’ve been 10 times scarier with nova six or chemical weapon and if if he was brainwashing people

I agree with complaints about zombies in campaign and there are unfinished story lines that leave the story feeling weaker and Case is not as customizable as Bell in terms of name and race and gender so that is a downgrade. Something that isn't mentioned a lot is that in Harrow's acid trip, there's a mention of how Pantheon would provoke a false flag attack, that the people would believe whatever confirms their narrative, considering the ending clearly stating that Pantheon is still out there, it's not far fetched to think that they may have played a part in causing the war in Iraq in 2003 as the false flag attack.

this is the best campaign the best COD since BO2 ... Adler and Marshall are one hell of a team, Case is a beast he is definitely not dead, but Jane Harrow is definitely dead she is not going to survive getting choked by Case high on the Cradle. This is the 1st time in YEARS that i can finally say i can't wait to see what happen next with the story.
@Touton7013 ай бұрын
Cold War toped this campaign it has better references to the first two games then this one has references to all three. Case is not as well written as Alex or David this game would’ve been 10 times better if the cradle turned out to be an adapted version of nova six and over the course of the game we got to see Saddam working with a younger version of Menendez, therefore connecting all the games villains and characters in the series together I say that because if Menendez supposedly has billions of followers in black ops two in 2025, I’d expect him to have at least 300-500 million in the 90s the developers missed a big opportunity by not having Jane’s parents be lead scientists in the cradle program and have it be an adapted or improved version of nova six I say that simply because if that’s the decision they made they could’ve had Alex Mason murder Janes parents during the five years he was MIA and rogue before he got captured at rebirth after killing Steiner. Again that would simply interconnect all the games, villains, and characters in the series together you would also be able to picture similarities between how David followed after his father and became a soldier, Jane followed after her parents and continued to work with chemical weapons. Considering Mason was MIA and rogue for five years hunting down Steiner, we have no idea who else he potentially killed during that time so if the developers connected the cradle with nova six it would easily put them on Mason’s radar as a potential target. It would’ve been nice to see us. Set back Menendez’s plan, causing him to have to adapt with the times and therefore wait years until 2025 to be able to to get his hands on solarium. Which was the weird tech emp thing in Black ops two. It would also explain why it took him so long to execute his plan. If not, he kinda just turns into a marvel villain, waiting for his time to strike And that makes him look corny plus it would make his attitude in black ops, two more menacing simply because this is not the first time he tried to execute his plan. and then you can take into consideration the problem with the safe house why make the elevator so obvious but then not have it be used for anything that was the most interesting part of the entire safe house and it wasn’t used for anything or all the lock doors in the basement what a missed opportunity to put in a couple references to previous games or connecting the house to Nikita Dragovich or Lev Kravchenko

@@Touton701bruh your basically saying you wanted the game to be just a huge callback to old characters and you wanted cameos. It connected them enough, why would they focus on a villain from 10 years ago when we know where it’s going. They’re creating their own stories to fill in the spaces in the black ops timeline
@Touton7013 ай бұрын
@@merchbros8729 I’m sorry I’m not a fortnight kid. I don’t need call of duty to change every month or month and a half we can all objectively agree that call of duty’s Peak was the original modern warfare trilogy and black ops one and two we have been changing since the advanced movement/ double jump era and we haven’t been able to get that classic cod vibe back so maybe we need to stop changing and go back to our old story lines that they were so good at writing objectively look at how well written and connected the black ops one and two story and characters are compared to Black ops Cold War and six all I’m saying is we need the classic black ops vibe I’m not talking about a 30 second cameo you completely missed the point of everything that I had to say I’m not asking for cameos. I’m asking to fill in the missing gaps of the black ops timeline. You’re saying they’re creating their own stories to fill in the black ops timeline, but the problem is what they’re filling in doesn’t fit within the franchise. It’s coming out of nowhere. There’s no connection to the previous games characters or villains. You might as well not even call it black ops. I replayed Black ops one two and Cold War as I was downloading Black ops six trust me when I say both games are fresh in my memory and they are objectively better because of how connected they are
@merchbros87293 ай бұрын
@ you just yapped a whole lotta nothing. Tf does this have to do with Fortnite. You’re literally complaining that they are not giving you the same game from 5 years ago. They create their own story that doesn’t rely on the games from 12 years ago and you’re complaining about it.

did you or did you not reply? I’m not gonna ignore you. This is how conversations work so if you don’t wanna hear me yap you could always mind your business and stay in your own lane… Your ignoring the fact that one of the reasons why cod has gotten so popular is because it’s always had a consistent game experience year after year game after game that’s one of the reasons that made call of duty popular no matter what it was consistent. All we needed was a quality well written story, good weapon and map variety in multiplayer and a good zombies mode in black ops no more no less sometimes less is more and we were happy with that as cod fans.

Honestly have to respect that the campaign is very hit or miss, it could've just been okay throughout the whole thing, but they did a lot to switch up the gameplay which is actually commendable. Yeah zombies feels wierd in the campaign, but the Control-esque / old bureau facility setting really helps settle in the supernatural feel. You can tell they wanted to do something wild like Singularity again. And this is kind of a weird want of mine, but I kinda hope Case lives. He's a product of the super soldier type programs that were done by the government, and now I really want to see him live because the super soldier bullshittery ended up actually working. Maybe he does stuff solo that isn't related to the main campaign, and we get to see other supernatural stuff so raven/treyarch get to focus on more of that cool stuff.

Anybody else get serious Dishonored vibes from the campaign? There's the obvious missions that almost seem like Dishonored copies, sure, but overall the missions seemed like there was a larger emphasis on stealth and "play your way" that wasn't present in previous Call of Duty or even Black Ops specific campaigns. I am a huge fan of Dishonored so this was definitely a welcome feeling but interesting for sure.
