This is literally a family movie. Blake Lively is Ryan Reynold's wife, and she voiced Ladypool (they needed a stunt person for the Crowdpool fight). Kidpool and Babypool are his actual children. Also, they were having trouble getting the rights to use all the songs, so Reynolds and Jackman went to Madonna's house, waited seven hours because she had guests, and got permission to use Like a Prayer. *"Henry said the hardest part of his cameo was the cigar."* Clint eastwood used to say the same thing about his early western films, like a fistful of dollars. he wasn't a smoker at all, and he intentionally got the strongest most acrid cigars he could find, likely as an extra measure to not develop a fondness/addiction, resulting in him always grimacing in his early films. him squinting his eyes was the result of ironically being allergic to horses. Eastwood's whole "squinting grimacing hardass" look was the result of him being disgusted/sickened by the cigars and miserable from his allergies, lol.

Most folks don't notice that there are not one, but two Pretty Woman references in this film- the second coming at the end when he goes "the people we save, they save us right back." That's a play on Julia Roberts character Vivian's last line in Pretty Woman, "she rescues him right back." The shop Deadpool and Wolverine crashed through towards the end is called "Liefeld's Just Feet." Rob Liefeld is a comic artist that created Deadpool and is known for drawing feet terribly. The bus during the long shot of the fight scene fighting the crowd of Deadpools has an ad on the side that says "Stanlee Steamer est 1922." That's a nod to Stan Lee, born in 1922. Stan still got his cameo after death, just like Logan. This film has so many callbacks, references to pop culture, and meta jokes, that it's insane.

Henry Cavill was so dedicated to portraying his Wolverine that he got terribly ill from smoking cigars for an entire day. The Jaugurnaut actor was the body used for Dude in Free Guy. They could have had the budget for more Chris Evans as Disney wanted to throw more money at the project than they got, but they asked for a smaller budget because that makes them have to he more creative. Chris Evans is using his real accent as Johnny. He's from Boston. And the scene he did in the end credits he said all that in one take without messing up. Ryan was the one breaking. The mask helped hide he couldn't stop laughing. Jennifer Garner was Elektra in the Daredevil movie where Ben Affleck, her now ex-husband, was Daredevil. When Gambit mentions Daredevil in the dead people list and Deadpool gives his condolences to Elektra and she says it's fine. That's another Divorce joke to go with Hughs shirtless joke. Both actors obviously approved the jokes.

Channing Tatum allegedly wanted to get Gambit out of turnaround hell so much but then his movie never managed to get made... it's awesome to see him finally have the chance to do it, and makes the jokes about "sometimes I feel like I was born and lived here my entire life, I don't know" or whatever about the void that much funnier. Blade Trinity had Reynolds playing a character and he and Snipes started the kayfabe that they hated each other and kept that up for decades in media, so that "I don't like you" / "you never did" stuff was an extra in joke. Also the line with Wade saying to Elektra, "I'm so sorry" about Daredevil dying (played by Ben Affleck, Garner's ex-husband) and her saying, "it's fine" visibly cool with it is comedy gold.

This is one of the most. Easter egg filled Comics of Wolverine in this Deadpool movie And they did a good job of making the movie. A sendoff of 20th century fox. Aims great reaction as always.

It was all a joke, them hating each other. They just played it up and kept the joke running for a while. It's like Reynolds and Jackman always going at each other on social media.

I think it was because Wesley Snipes hated filming the third film and was notoriously difficult to work with, that the rumours spread that he also didn’t get along with Ryan Reynolds. But apparently they were fine together and it’s all been general speculation

Everyone picks on Channing for his accent but if you go south enough in Louisiana that's what a Cajun does sound like. It's interesting they used Cassandra as the villain since in the Fox movies the twin was a male and not female. The actors voicing all the other deadpools is pretty interesting too. Every time i watch it I notice more characters from the older movies as Lady Deathstrike is among the bad guys.
