dpf fault code doesn't mean dpf is the problem. show you process to get to the bottom of the issue so no comebacks or angry customer.

The hint was there all along . The particulate filter percentage of 166% was screaming at you. In the end well done mate 👍

Hi i am having the same problem with Holden Captiva 2L diesel Engine. Engine starts well and gear is engaged well and starts off but dont have the power to drive after only 50m. The KM/H only reaches 20km/h. When i excellerate car is not driving. Doesnt have the power to drive. I am stranded along the Kalgoorlie highway in WA. What would be the exact problem so i can fix it myself on the road.

@@a1mechanicaloakey639 I have a 2007 captiva which I now have all knowledge after the fact. It's been back to the dealer 9 times & has been on this last time since 13 July 2021. Loss of power put it into the dealer workshop. I would rather have my money back.

Honestly speaking dealers are incompetent most of the time when it comes to diagnosis. I get messages from lots of people that dealers couldn't fix their car and still got charged for it. I would suggest you to find independent mechanic who is good at electronics to fix your vehicle.

Is there any cheap device that could force a dpf regenerate on a captiva? I can only find devices that are 2,000 AUD or more. There was one for 220 aud but it doesn't support dpf regenerate.

Force regen is not necessary, once the cause of dpf blockage is fixed, most car will do regen itself. I know captive does its own. Just need some highway driving at operating temperature.

Hi have you considered doing an online training on diesels where you can charge people a set fee. I would defo pay for more knowledge and I guess others would too.after all you could reach out all over the world doing an online training course.

did you find out what the problem was? having the same problem took it to a mechenic they replaced the turbo and boost control solenoid and still having the same problems and have spend over $3500

It was intake manifold blockage.

@@a1mechanicaloakey639 hey the hose was also replaced as it was split the car drives good on cold start can drive hours on and but if you drive it whiles its warm it gose into limp mode any suggestions would be helpfull

If it's really limo mode then there's got to be Fault code. Start chasing the fault from there.
