*Video Spoiler* *Matt's DCEU Ratings:* - *Man of Steel* = Pretty good. Don't love, don't hate. Hans Zimmer incredible. Appreciate different narratives between fathers. Visually good. Wouldn't watch again. *6.5/10* - *Batman Vs Superman* = Shot beautifully, opening scene great. So many people with little backstory. Why is this the second movie? Beginning great, middle horrible, end is ok. *5.5/10* - *Justice League (The Snyder Cut)* = Characters looked fantastic. Don't like superman coming back. Iffy on time travel in movies. Most beautiful movie cinematically. Many Bi-Gon Jim moments. *8.5/10* - *Suicide Squad* = Wish they did more with Harley. Feel bad for actors. Not a well gelled team. Fun and different. Probably won't watch again. Hate Joker. *6.5/10* - *Wonder Woman* = Fantastic. Made you care about villain. Love the concepts. Great messages. A few moments a little off. Best DCEU movie so far for sure. *9/10* - *Josstice League* = Steppenwolf less menacing. Comedy was awful. Everything's red. Not invested in story. Terrible. *2/10* *Order:* Wonder Woman, Snyder Cut, Man Of Steel, Suicide Squad, Batman Vs Superman, Justice League Theatrical *My Opinion:* Felt like an average action movie tbh. Nothing special. @SpiderBatFan3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the way I see it, all that you mentioned wouldn’t be a problem, I agree with pretty much all of them, but one problem I do see is that you couldn’t do a ton of showtimes with it being as long as it is. That and I do think it would turn off a lot of general audience members when they see its 4 hours, I know there’d be an intermission and as you say, Endgame was only one hour shorter than it but I still think it would turn at least some general audience members off, maybe not completely, if it got a traditional release with cinemas first and not HBO MAX they might wait until it comes to home media and then watch it

The studio claiming Ray Fisher's issue was with having to say "Booyah" was them gaslighting him and belittling his complaints. His issue was that certain elements made the work environment abusive and uncomfortable. Moreover they removed his entire arc and repositioned him as a nothing character who they thought giving a catchphrase to would make up for. Also it's not Cyborg's catchphrase in the comics. It originated in the 2003 Teen Titans animated series.

Except it makes zero sense. Why would Flash only save 1 person? In ZSJL he saved the entire Justice League and the Earth. I respect you like it. But I personally detest that line in the context of the Flash character.
@sethgibson51483 жыл бұрын
@@kal-elofkrypton252 I cant remember the entire thing, but I think it was save one person, then you'll know what to do. Then he started saving all the people.

@@sethgibson5148 But Flash has been around for years. That wasn't his first day on the job. Remember that cameo in Suicide Squad. Which it seems come Josstice League, WB already wanted us to forget. Also for me personally the line would be better suited Superman saying that sort of thing to Flash. Not Batman.

I feel that. Batman's giving flash an easy task to save one person. When asked "then what"? "You'll know." Batman knew he'd go back to save more once Flash started off saving the 1st

During the reshoots Ben really was suffering from his addiction but now he looks great but apparently it had a lot to do with the suits at Warner bros also and he apparently leaked the deathstroke scene on a plane so he wouldn’t deal with the suits

The Snyder Cut would work in theaters as long as they have an intermission. And, I may be wrong here, but it's my understanding that Whedon was brought in before Snyder stepped away, that Warner had already lost faith and were wanting to replace him with Whedon no matter what.

There was definitely bad blood between WB and Zach. Their insistence on NOT continuing the Synderverse after the overwhelmingly positive reception of ZSJL is absolute proof of that. They are literally throwing away money just to stick it to him...like a bunch of 9 yr olds in 3 piece suits

Cyborg's catchphrase was from the animated series, he's never said that in the main line comics. The only comics where he says that is the ones tied to the animated series and for young kids. Any comic that was for teens & up he never says that. Snyder finished what he wanted to shoot, 100% not 98%. Though he said the only shot he wanted to do was Martian Manhunter's side when he leaves as Martha, but again that scene was likely going to be cut anyway, so the production shots were all complete)

25:55 Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and directed Mission: Impossible - Fallout, was actually OK with letting Cavill shave his beard for the reshoots after talking to his producer with the agreement that Warner Bros would pay them $3 million to cover costs of a shutdown production during the time he'd need to grow it back, but Paramount execs stepped in and were like "there is absolutely no way we are doing that" and put an end to it.

Trying to give the DC universe the light hearted feel of the Marvel universe just doesn't work. So much backstory is missing from the theatrical cut and the theatrical villain was terrible, so glad they changed him back to what he should have been in the Snyders cut.

Andnow for the Democatic response: on the other hand, the Snyder cut was not only dark, but downright vicious (Diana blowing up an entire building floor and bloody well vaporizing the Bad Guy and then the (should be horrifically traumatized, but somehow not) little girl saying that she wants to be Di when she grows up? I imagine that Zack's ode to Ayn Rand may work for the current, "I like my heroes dark and bloosthirsty", generation, but it left me rather cold.

Something that really stands out to me now, having watched the Snyder Cut is that WB had Whedon come in and basically add humor to the script, but the Snyder Cut has plenty of humor in it. Good humor at that. And seeing how many shots and scenes already existed that he just reshot is mind boggling. WB wasted a lot of money with those Whedon reshoots and IMO, only one scene was even worth it, the scene with the group and Aquaman sits on the lasso. Everything else was flat out unnecessary.
@SpiderBatFan3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s one of the biggest reasons I hate it as much as I do, not only did he unnecessarily reshoot very similar scenes but also make very changes in post production that was completely unnecessary, like at the end at Wayne Manor, they literally changed the colour of Diana’s outfit or changed lines with ADR like Lois saying “you spoke” to Clark because he didn’t say anything since coming back to life before then so it made sense, then Joss changed it to “you smell good”, ffs
