I walk 3 to 4 mornings a week with my BFF/neighbor. Last week I told her we needed to postpone a few minutes because I was pooping. She got so excited because I hadn't been able to go for a few days. Then I realized that I'm so old that not only do I get excited about being able to poop, but so does my best friend - which means we're talking about our poop issues together. I remember the days when my bestie and I talked about guys and makeup. Now it's laxatives and the best melatonin.

So, my husband is a builder and he put in tile counter tops. My sister made us cookies as a house warming gift and two crumbs fell on the grout. The oil stained the grout for forever. As time went on other things spot stained the grout even more. So, we moved into another house my husband built (he likes to flip houses) with tile countertops. I went first thing and poured oil over all the grout so it was all stained at the same time, together. Then it didn't matter if a crumb fell on it or if milk spilled on it because it was already the color it was going to be.😁 #adulting hard

Another fun video, I laughed so hard at the “flushing” joke Penn said. Dad jokes are terribly amazing. My husband and I just moved from Arkansas, back to Florida and we got excited about our new home having sprinkler system (our 4 last places haven’t) and I fished over the live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. My husband told me how the trees will help keep the house shaded. He is 30, I’m 29. Adulting man...

Here are some of my experiences: *Multiple phone calls to find out if my insurance will pay for a lab test, *Hours of research to find a safe and affordable hotel in LA, *Getting excited when my children have school lunch the next day, *Making sure school projects are completed & turned in on time, *Coordinating 4 parent-teacher conferences so they'll be back to back (only 1 trip to the school), *Meal planning & cooking dinner, *Adding school events to the calendar so we don't forget, *Making sure my children have clean clothes to wear, *Sweeping All the tile in the house, *Paying bills on time, *Reading all emails from 4 school teachers, *Wishing it wasn't so hard to remember when to return library books, *Labeling food in fridge to know how long to keep, *Remembering after-school snacks for the car, *Enjoying my children before they are all grown up!!!

We were waiting to get picked up at the airport last weekend, and saw some really cool cars. Saw a Tesla model X, and the falcon-wing doors in action, etc. But what did we squeal in delight about? When the woman next to us and her kids got picked up, her stroller folded up super small, super quickly. Not only do I make my own granola, I dry the fruits for it as well. With the dehydrator I asked for, for Christmas last year. I bought a leg elevation pillow. My husband has a gym membership he not only uses, but knows what machines are being used when by other people. And we plan supper around it. We program the thermostat, with great detail, it was a thoughtful conversation. We have payment plans. And all are paid on time. It’s embarrassing how long it took me to buy vitamin c on Amazon, reading reviews, comparing cost per pill, comparing ingredients and their origins, I made side by side picture comparisons. I settled on one, and we made sure to add it to subscribe and save to save 15%. I spent $18 on vitamin C and about an hour. Not the cheapest OJ, and calling sour patch kids a good source of vit c. When does this happen?

I once ended up going BEYOND adulting into "crotchety old lady", "Get off my lawn!"-mode. It was boiling hot outside, I'd just got home from a walk to the store (about 15 minutes), and realized upon checking the receipt - and control-weighing the bag - that they'd overcharged me about $5 for my candy. No way. So, leaving Jr. safely in front of the television, I promptly RETURNED to the store (still a 15 minute walk in fry-eggs-on-the-pavement heat), showed them the bag and the receipt and got my $5 back... Must have been sunstroke.

My adulting is taking a day off of work today to get stuff done around the house without being bothered. If I was younger I wouldn't get out of bed until noon and then accomplish nothing. I've gotten two kids and my wife out the door, fixed the garage door opener, did the dishes, and will soon clean the koi pond and mowing. My the end of the day a couple window screens will be fixed, errands run, and I will make time for Bed Bath and Beyond......so sad...My kids have learned it from me as well. Back when Frozen came out we went to Disney and the meet and greet line for Anna and Elsa was 4 hours. My daughter was 6 at the time and told me we had better things to do than sit in line for that.

Taking time off work to sit on hold to talk to someone in government offices that close before you get home and aren't open on weekends.... Conversations about trading cards are now about credit cards points systems... And why am I excited for my first mammogram???

My wife bought a label maker and I spent over an hour labeling all the spices on my spice rack so they all had the same look, and length, and then made her come see when I was done. I was so proud.

Too funny! I'm definitely like Kim when it comes to the closet! My clothes are by season and by color from lightest to darkest and I try to put them on the same color hanger! Thank goodness my husband is the same way because if not, I'd be reorganizing his side of the closet! My shoes are the same way except for the plastic shoe boxes, they don't have a large shade range in them! They are clear though!

I had a triple #adulting moment: I bent over to untie my sneakers! But wait - they were “Dad Style” wide New Balance sneakers with ortho support. BUT THERES MORE!! While bending over to untie those New Balance - I tweaked my back. Yeah. #TripleAdulting

My husband and I just spent our whole evening (after both working a full work day 😏) fixing out WATER PRESSURE lol we finally figured out that it had something to do with a bladder (we have an artesian well) and so far so good, but apparently I'm on the lookout for weird water pressure for the next few days lol yeah as h I feel the adult change 😆

I remodeled my house myself ( with help from my dad) tearing down walls putting up walls. I Laying wood laminate flooring throughout my whole house, removed a cabinet and installed a dishwasher, replaced a heating element in my stove, and replaced parts on my washer by myself. And the most adult thing is in January each year... I pay my water bill for the ENTIRE year so I don't have to think about it for the rest of the year.

I love the adulting videos! We all do so many things every day that remind us how crappy adulting really is.

Is it wrong that I get excited to have the house to myself when the siblings are at school? I am a caregiver for my special needs siblings.

Jennifer No, you’re not wrong at all!!! We all need down time. And I remember the first time I was able to leave our three children home (because our oldest was old enough to babysit) while I went Grocery Shopping!!! That was exciting!

LOVE the Wegmans comment. I live in Rochester, NY which is Wegmans mecca!! Regularly see Danny Wegman at his favorite store and used to chat with his daughter, Nicole, often at my Wegmans. Wegmans makes life better. No joke.

I made a folder of important papers that I can grab in case of emergency. Also scanned each one and uploaded to Dropbox as backup. Then made an emergency kit for the car.
