This is about the level of my sister's "dessert hack" she does for the holidays, which is: a bag of square Snyders pretzels, a bag of Hershey's Kisses, and a bag of holiday M&Ms; spread pretzels out on a plate, put a Kiss on each, microwave them just long enough for the Kisses to soften, then press an M&M down on top. Let them cool and then dump them in a decorative box. Everyone at work loves them. She used to make cookies from scratch, but why bother when this is just as effective?

It's probably multiple packs. I live in the same province as LRR and even with the sky-high inflation lately I'd be surprised if a 6-pack of butter tarts cost more than $10 CAD. Might not get more than two for that much, though.

Very funny, but as the designated 'dessert person' for everyone I know for over 20 years, if they can't tell the difference between what you actually made and store-bought, it's just that you're a SHITTY baker! Really, abysmally shitty. I've even deliberately TRIED making things look as much like store-bought as possible, and everyone can STILL tell.
