sir edzonko me too! I think Francis trouble beats out New Abnormal. And I really like new abnormal!
@ezzong4 жыл бұрын
@@mrchrisgutierrez Albert's songwriting tends to stay true to 50s and 60s pop formula mixed with garage rock, like early Strokes' music, it's on the simpler and safer side compared to present Julian's interesting and experimental songs but sometimes it's all you need.
@sithshallrulethegalaxy4854 жыл бұрын
Thats why i tell people i dont care if the strokes break up because I like ahj style more than the strokes.when I want to listen to experimental ill listen to the voidz when i want strokes style ill listen to ahj. In my opinion lyrics vs lyrics julian is better but I feel ahj has better beats and rythem then julian does. I'll take better guitar rythem and solos over good lyrics.on francés trouble was so underrated and I can listen to every song. On the new abnormal theres a handful of songs that I just don't care for.

Be sure to check out his other solo projects. He's really great. And, of course, a special cry out to Francis Trouble. (I heard he's working on a Volume 2 for that album as well). More power to him! And 'Far Away Truths' has to be one of my favorite songs ever. Btw, Albert said recently that he finally thinks he's "good." He's too humble. He's great!🤘
@joaquinot4 жыл бұрын
@@lucakat9262 Wow awesome, thanks for sharing this data, I will definetly look for this stuff!
@lucakat92624 жыл бұрын
@@joaquinot great! Another AHJ solo fan! Btw, he tried to get the Strokes to look at his lyrics and ideas. Albert said that Julian seemed okay with it but the other members were not. Even though Albert had written some Strokes songs with Julian. So Idk why they wouldn't let Albert use one song of his own. Maybe it's because Julian always wrote most of the songs back then. So that's one reason he went solo. Plus, the Strokes were beginning to have problems. And, Julian mentioned that even though, at the time, he still was committed to the Strokes, that some other band members were interested in trying something else too. Julian mentioned Fab and Nikolai. So they went onto make music with other bands that they formed. Julian was the only other Stroke to have a solo album. But Jules only did one before forming the Voidz. So that's what the guys did when they were not together. Also, they did not get along very well, for the most part from 2010 till 2019, when they regrouped. Even though they still toured sometimes, I think Julian had something to do with them truly getting back together because he was asked about the band and how things were going and if they still got along. Julian said that their 'brotherhood' would always be there since they'd known each other since their teens and so forth. Shortly afterwards, I noticed they got back together and it was strongly rumored that they were recording again. So much for rumors now. Lol. You might want to read "Meet Me in the Bathroom'. That book tells some interesting stuff about them. Although, it leaves stuff out, like the band getting to meet Lou Reed. Reed had influenced the band greatly. Anyway, sorry to go on so long. As you can see, I'm a diehard Strokes fan. To me, they are all fascinating in their own right. There's so much more I could add to what I've said but you can (if you want) look them up on Google and there are some great interviews with them here on KZbin. Oh, one more thing, Albert is good friends with actor Joaquin Phoenix.😉

Albert sounds like he's rather polishing the sound of two first album or playing with a mixture of pop on it. I don't know what to say, at first I like, now is very hard on the songs as it's an indistinguible formula, which won't get you into the supposedly creative songs from time to time.
