Holiday Shopping

You might have already done all of your shopping, no worries this applies to more than just the holiday season.
It's season that creates a great deal of waste. Some stuff comes in packaging, then you wrap the packaging. Some stuff wont last more than a year and then what happens to it.
Shopping can be done in a mall, online and hopefully in your community. Before you buy anything else stop and ask your self a few questions
what are you buying, why, for whom, what is it made of, will it last, what is it made of, who profits from this purchase?
You may be thinking - bummer... You could also look at it from this point of view - Taking some time to reflect on your actions when you’re shopping could and most definitely will save you some money. You are also going to make wiser choices about what you are purchasing.
There are alternatives to buying more "stuff". Everyone loves gifts, just make them count. Make sure they want what you’re buying. An
Always shop local first. Check out vintage and consignment shops. Give to causes in your name or someone else's name. Volunteer your time and donate money.
More than things people love when you share your time.
Share experiences with people you care about. A great memory of an experience is more valuable than any physical item.
I realize this little bit was missing - cooking with and for one another. It’s a gift, sharing time and the reward is nourishing.
There's no price on this and we certainly need more of it and that is sharing kindness and compassion all year round. This goes a long way with anyone and everyone.Forgive, let go and of course always make sure that you are caring well for yourself.
