I'm actually ashamed I was too young to understand the entire plot of MGS 3 when I watched my brother beat it. Because the ending really is probably one of the heaviest hitting moments Kojima ever made. The video is hilarious but you need to play the game to truly understand how the Boss was probably the most selfless and patriotic video game figure of all time with the reveal of her true actions. Tldr: she literally made herself the villain in the world's eyes to bring peace and prevent World War III and only Naked Snake/Big Boss and a select few understand the true meaning while the rest of the world would villainize and forget her. Snake is crying and saluting in front of her grave at the end of the game because everyone used him in the end including her. But he's only crying FOR her. Because she meant that much to him and he had to end her without understanding her true motives until way later.

To me Mgs is the best series ever made, an absolute masterpiece including the "unfinished" phantom pain. In fact 5 might be the best because it shows that you, the player, are snake and have been him since the beginning of the franchise. You are Big boss
