For future information 93 up Camero and firebird have a 3 wire coolant temp sensor 1 gage 1 ecu 1 ground.

I just got my dash and update is still a problem with these things. I’m glad you said keep trying thumb drives I’ve been through 3 with no avail yet. I’ll try the sd version next.

Is it a formatting issue? You can reformat zip drives to different types of NTFS.

This video is perfect timing, I am about to install the dash on the terminator x. I laughed at your comment hoping that there's a 7" dash in the box. Because the first one I received was missing the dash. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the build 👍

Hi there. Just want to mention that there must be some kind of boot up information on the USB that comes with the dash. I could not get any of my popular USB flash drive along with the correct dash software to activate a boot up for the software to load onto the dash. Just for shits and giggles, I tried loading the files onto the USB that came with the dash and the update proceeded just as the Holley instruction indicated. So there you go. And yes Holley, this is not well done on the software update issue in this dash.

Is there a way to display a fuel level guage on the term x maxx? I know that it typically uses a thermistor but I don't see that option on my xmaxx

Hey, so I’m trying to use this with a terminator x and the tec at Holley just told me it can’t be used with terminator x for tuning... also attempting to power it up and I’m just getting a flashing white screen. TEC support at Holley was near no help other than telling me to send the brand new unit back. He also told me I would need to buy the 3.5 so I could tune it and would only be able to use the 7” for gauges. Didn’t make much sense to me and here the car sits dead in the water. Anyone had similar problems or know what’s going on?

How has this dash been after 9 months? I’m looking at getting one for my terminator x. Wondered how well the gps speed works

Been great, and out of the GPS units I have used it grabs a signal the quickest. The screen is one of the better pieces they make.

So maybe dumb question but you can do all your tuning and logging from the screen and don’t have to use the laptop anymore ?

You can log, but you can't tune for the Terminator with this unit, not sure why as you can for the other ECUs Holley offers.

you can buy the standalone version (i used it with a Carb converted LS) And latter upgrade if you buy the Terminator... which is why im here bc i cant get the firmware updated😂 thanks in advance GRG.

Holley is a complete and total shit show, if you are spending 800, 1200, or 2000 on a dash, issues like this are not acceptable. Holley's website, their instructions, and their non existent support is a joke. These dashboards have had this USB issue for many years and they refuse to fix it. I spent hours trying to update my dash only having to find a solution by using web searches.
