I can't see the seat tops. What about the seats with no flathead screw notch? Can they be removed? We have both leaking.

Mike I thought the little gaskets should be sprayed with silicon spray. I have been lubricating small rubber 'O' rings with silicon grease as well.

hello ...i have a ford 289 with a 4 barrel list -1850-3 carb. When i break heavy & quick the car will stall......lots of opinions on the web saying use jet extensions...vent extensions...lower floats.....higher floats.....& spring loaded needle & seat valves.......so Mike what would you suggest?? Thanks

Mike I have a Corvette original 425 hp 427 after the car sits for a few weeks the start up floods the Holly out I've tried a low pressure fuel pump that has helped a little

Mike I need your help.i am rebuilding a Holley 600cfm carb.i am about to purchase needle and seat valves and I found out that there are 0.97...0.110...0.120...0.130....0.150 tip.which one should I purchase??

Ive had that happen before. I was young first carbureted car with a Holley and float needle was sticking allowing fuel to come up out the vent tubes. I first tried an old racers trick of using fuel line attached to both fuel bowl vents with a hole cut in the middle of the hose. It was a way of allowing fuel bowl level to be set higher without fuel sloshing out the vents but turns out my issue was simply the tip was gunked up not holding the fuel pressure back once it was full so it over fill till it sloshed out the vent tubes. Moral of the story don’t tap or beat on the fuel bowls or try anything supposedly trick with the cost of the fuel bowl parts I’d just replace fuel bowl seats and see from there. Also metering block gaskets leaking can also let fuel to flow out the vent tubes. Guess ya could get lucky and just adjust the floats and maybe there set to high causing it but its been my experience that fuel bowl seats aren’t replaced all that often an they do last a long time especially on well maintained carb but they do wear out an do go bad.
