There's so many videos showing the incorrect way to "adjust" the IAC, including this one. You don't adjust the IAC, you set your idle with the IAC unplugged, perform a TPS Autoset, plug the IAC back in and you're done. There's no reason at all to do it this way. 1. Unplug IAC motor 2. Start engine, adjust idle with throttle plate screw to ~100 rpm below target idle rpm 3. Shut off engine, turn ignition on & perform TPS AutoSet in Holley software 4. Plug IAC motor in DONE This is where the IAC will operate at idle

You should let Holley know step 25 in their install manual is incorrect and your method is better. Im sure they will appreciate your inputs. Thanks for sharing! Sharing is caring;)

It would be beneficial to film a little closer to the actual objects which are explained. Like the small screen etc. Hard to see the details.

Would I still have to set the iac if it’s a pull out motor? I have a 2000 ls1 f body motor all stock besides long tube headers with about 30 inch of tubing after o2 sensor. Won’t idle for shit and it backfires on startup. I have the ecu map sensor connected to the bung on the intake. Verified coil wiring is correct. Wires that need direct battery are directly to the battery. 24x/1x harness and ev1 injectors it has fuel pressure. If I give it gas on startup it immediately dies or backfires really loud then stalls and it will have crank/cam red signal every now and then. so I can’t get it to idle at all. Cam sensor and crank sensor are the black sensors and they’re both brand new. It was running before we pulled it and the timing wasn’t touched so we know that’s fine. This was advertised as a plug and play kit and it seems like everyone has to go into software to get their builds running. I’m not a tuner so the computer stuff is confusing. Any input would be appreciated this is really frustrating. Great video by the way very informative. I’ll be subscribing.

Sorry for the delay. The red light for crank/cam sounds similar to an issue I had before. There was a junction in the holley harness that was just glued together vice soldered and when vibrated it would have an intermittent cam signal. I troubleshoot for hours until I ripped it all out and checked each individual wire and found that. There are threads and pic online somewhere about these issues. I think holley fixed that long ago but that sounds similar to my issue

@@RecycledRacing thank you, it ended up being a faulty crank sensor that was supposed to be brand new 🤦♂️

Can this cause a no start situation I have yet to start my engine. IAC reads 95% but It has never started. I don’t have spark or injector pulse. I do have sync and rpm signal about 160rpm while cranking.
@RecycledRacing2 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly your rpm must go about 400 to get spark and injectors.

It is "Idle Air Control Valve" lol. I was looking at the intake. Good catch. Theres a couple more also.

If thay don read thay can find this video so thay will still ask on the forum any way because that cant read and find the search function. I think facebook ought to direct you to search when you try to post something for the first and second and third time then let you post.

You need to adjust it. Same method as the video. Give it a turn or so reset the tps and let it settle and see where it is. Rinse and repeat until your at 2-10%

Muhahaahah hp tuners will soon be a thing of the past and it only took 23 years
@Mtnbike1214 жыл бұрын
probably not, tons of people build there daily drivers with stock ecus. These only are really good in swap applications.
@Dannymclovin4 жыл бұрын
@@Mtnbike121 I agree if your doing a bone stock swap in like older gm stuff but if it's in an import or anything remotely race oriented I feel like it be a sin not to run the Ebay turbo or it be a sin not to cam it etc etc I get that not everyone needs a racecar but to me it seems like wasted opportunity but that's just my opinion since as a teenager I wasnt allowed to have a v8 car let alone a fast car so sadly I'm just building along I still drive slow car because my project car has taken 2 years so far and this pandemic isn't doing me any favors
@Mtnbike1214 жыл бұрын
@@Dannymclovin no no i get that, but like if i already had a camaro, corvette or silverado, why would i spend another 1200$ on a different ecu and then pay someone to tune it? when i could pay someone 450$ to tune it.
@Dannymclovin4 жыл бұрын
@@Mtnbike121 oh well that's completely different im talking about swaps, if you have a stock gm product that came with an LS youre right why change the ecu but if you know your going to do crazy mods I dont think it would make sense to pay a tuner when you have an amazing holley ecu that self tunes and has the extra safety measures
