Hollow Knight: Godmaster - Pantheon of the Knight (All Bindings)

Completing the fourth pantheon with all bindings active. Nail arts help a good bit, particularly with Markoth, though I'm not used to them. Some sloppy wins (particularly White Defender who should be a snooze) but ultimately it's done.
I haven't exactly pushed these as high priority to complete so it might be a while before I seriously try to complete the Pantheon of Hallownest with all bindings.

I super appreciate you posting this. People keep posting godlike hitless runs and while they're amazing they're not that helpful to us plebs who are still on the learning curve. Seeing the places where you Safety Dive and heal even in otherwise unproblematic fights is both helpful and pleasantly humanizing. Congrats and thank you.

Thanks! I'm certainly guilty of posting crazy hitless challenge fights, but I make a lot of mistakes in dodging doing them. What's not pictured are the many, many failures (kind of on the scale of all those dead vessels at the bottom of the abyss). What kind of videos would be helpful?

Mauz They make the pantheons harder. The binding of nail makes your nail do half damage, the binding of health means your health is reduced to 4 ( the fragile/unbreakable heart increase this to 6), the binding of soul means that you can only use 1/3 of the main soul vessel and none of the smaller ones, and the binding of charms means you cannot use charms. Completing the bindings will unlock the blue room which will give you lifeblood at the benches during the pantheons. At 8 total bindings completed you get 3 masks, at 12 you get 4, and at 16 you get 5 lifeblood masks. Sorry for the long wall of text, hopefully this answers your question.

Team Cherry didn't design No Eyes, it was a backer-designed boss. Plus, the original concept for No Eyes was going to be a LOT creepier, but Team Cherry asked the backer to tone it down a bit for the sake of keeping Hollow Knight an all-ages game.

Hey thanks cranky templar for the video. This (all bindings) is easier than sage pantheon(all bindings), but still hard. Some general tips for all who wish for it- Count your nail hits in your head. Every 3 hits you can release a spell or a heal, which you should do with most bosses. Enraged guarduian- time jumps with his shots and always use D-dark when available. Lost kin- very fun. Lost a ton to him because I was not aggressive(dash to him, strike and retreat). Be aggressive, fire shade soul whenever available. No eyes- easy. I like nail arts here Traitor lord- by far the one I had the most problems with. Two masks of damage and no healing windows is though. Two hits and you are down. Shadow dashing through him and using D-dark whenever possible did the trick for me. After he starts his shock waves, he tends to take quick steps forward before attacking- that move always got me. Keep your distance. White defender- heal when he pops out of the ground- you'll be fine(stand close to where he jumps out). Use spells whenever possible. False knight- heal when he staggers and get soul from him with the dream nail. Always abyss shriek when stagger ends and he leaps above you. You can keep him staggered if you down pogo on the metal shell once between heal/dream nail. Tough guy, no soul from nailing. But easy because of the staggering. Markoth- use nail arts and mainly dash-slash to bypass shield. Always heal when he spins his shield(get away before). Free dash slash possible when he strats and ends his shield spins. Do not be tempted to use spells, keep your soul to heal. Watcher knights- heal when you have just one knight on the board after he finishes any attack(when you kill one knight and another is animating, you will have such a window always). Soul tyrent- just win. Easy. Pure vessel- I actually thought he will be impossible, but I took him by 3rd try. Heal when he staggers he does that alot. Watch videos of great players(like this one) to understand how to dodge and counter each and every attack. It gets really easy and predictable. Pantheon of hallownest(all bindings) here I come!!!

Bindings are CRAZY Health is probably the worst because it just makes the margin for error so narrow Then Nail because it makes the fights take a LOT longer, giving you more chances to make mistakes Charms after that because you can come to rely on having edges, but if you experiment with them you're usually well rounded enough to not miss any individual charm The biggest drawback of the Soul binding is not being able to take advantage of spots where you can multiheal or take multiple opportunities for spells, but that's kinda minimal But overall, any one of these is a very difficult challenge to layer on top of an already difficult part of the game, so hats off to you, good sir! Well done! The spots where you get perfectly timed heals in are subtle, but very impressive

Every time the Pure Vessel uses his ground pound attack, I usually go to the side, see where the blades will get out, get near him, while I charge up a nail art cyclone slash. This action gives lots of soul in one swoop instead of 3 regular hits. When seeing this video I like how you were patient and waited for openings of the enemies. The way you used your dive attacks were spot on. Especially, after activation you gain 0.4 seconds of invincibility. They give lots of damage, but they are also very risky. I haven’t beaten the Pantheon of the Knights yet because the past days I focused on the 3 first ones. I watched this video for hints of how to beat the bosses.

I can only beat this pantheon with the soul binding. The others I easily get to Pure Vessel but ultimately lose. Pure Vessel is a really fair fight but boy is he tough and you feel so stressed that you might lose. I keep practicing and getting slowly better though.

Nice run. I finished this with all bindings today, I was so jittery when I got that last hit on the Pure Vessel. His theme is so good, and it's such a fun fight. What would you say was the hardest part for you? For me, Markoth was my demon. He took me out more times than all the other bosses combined.

Dash slash helps enormously for Markoth. Save soul for P2 and hit him with shade soul/abyss shriek. Soul Tyrant is a bit more to explain, but I think Perpetual Noob has an in-depth guide for him that would cover it better than I could. Good luck!

Bindings aren't needed for any endings. They're there for extra challenge if you want.

there are two extra endings in Godmasters, neither requires the bindings. Also, Team Cherry stated that all endings are cannon, as they don't want a single "True Ending", they want every ending you get count and be a real part of the story. How will they implement that is yet uncertain, specially with Silksong on it's way.

After you've cleared enough bindings with pantheons you'll be able to open a door and activate lifeblood for the pantheons (8 bindings, you can do them one by one or all together). You have to do different bindings - you can't do nail binding for pantheon 1 multiple times, you'll have to pick different ones or with a different pantheon. Every four bindings after that (at 12/16 bindings) the amount of lifeblood gained will increase by 1 to a maximum of five lifeblood per bench area.

Bro you got any advice for pure vessel?Any time I try to fight him, the fight barely lasts a minute! I like to use nail arts in pantheons when doing all the bindings, so any strats I can use with nail arts?

I'm less familiar with nail arts but there are definitely times you can use them - I'd recommend checking out folks doing all bindings speedruns as that'll show you the opportunities for them better than I could explain. There's also guides Perpetual Noob, Relyea, and Zaliant have done for Pure Vessel that go into great detail. What part of the fight is giving you the most trouble?

I also have trouble keeping up with pure vessels speed.One second he’s throwing tiny daggers from his hand,the next he dashed towards you with his nail.It’s hard to keep up with that speed
