It's not really a nerf... -His traps DO now only deal about 40 damage -But he has 5 of them -there are now no lasers at all so you have to peak around doorways -Kapkan is now 2 speed 2 armor, instead of 1 speed 3 armor, which is what many people in the community wanted Some people don't like the nerf to the damage and say they wish he didn't change.

Try and place his traps in places where the enemy just rushes in the building not inside the room because then people are not careful about where step. And try not to barricade the door where you place a trap because then the enemy slows down and looks for traps. That’s what usually gets me the most kills. Hollow Kapkan is getting buffed actually . Even though his traps don’t one shot anymore he gets 5 of them and They do 40dmg to1 speed 3 armor Ops 50 to 2 speed 60 to 3 speed . He’s also getting moved to a 2 speed to armor so he’s faster and can block off more entries (Btw his laser is invisible unless you have IQ) This buff makes IQ and Thacker more off a must pick .

I don't feel like he's getting a buff to the traps other than the invisible wire and being a 2 speed. Which can be controversial depending on if people like operators that move faster or that can take more bullets. But my problem with the damage value is that in the long run, it's a nerf. Most of the time people notice the traps and take them out but if someone ran into one without paying attention, they would be greeted with death. Now people won't notice the traps but it will take 2-3 traps to kill them. Meaning you can kill 2 people outright with the traps rather than 3. But the old traps were easier to spot so that balances it out, however, you have to preemptively place the traps and hope someone goes through that door/window. But if your trap goes off and doesn't kill them then that door is permanently open to the entire enemy team since no kapkan in his right mind would trap a door in the middle of a gunfight causing some traps to go to waste. But I guess we'll have to see the effect this change will have on the meta.

On a very bright map, eye-height traps can actually be surprisingly invisible. Generally, you will have the most success putting them away from site on big entry doors as low as possible. Also, while the traps will soon deliver non lethal damage, it's actually a buff in disguise because those boxes will go unnoticed a lot of the time.

Put your traps low down and on doorways without barricades (because your trap will get destroyed along with the barricade and it will be more noticeable for the attackers), put the traps in rush spots, dark doorways and I've found double doorways work well because people often rush through them.

Kapkans entry denial devises will no longer be a insta-kill but he will hav 4 or 5 instead of 3. Kapkan will also be a 2 speed 2 armour instead of a 1 speed 3 armour. Blitz will also be getting buffed as he will be able to sprint will his shield up. Ella will be getting nefed her gun will now have more recoil. Ella will also have 1 less mine.

Kapkan is getting a nerf and buff, the nurf is reduction from 100 to 40 damage. The buff is: 5 traps (increase from 3), invisible lasers on traps, 2 speed/2 armour(was 1 speed/3 armour). The buff is greater tham the nerf so. This is reliable as it comes from a TTS player and Console/PC diamond

For the EDD’s (booby traps) you don’t want to put them on windows for they are too noticeable and when placing the EDD on a doorway you’ll want to put it as low as possible. It’s harder to spot it when it’s at your ankles.
