I feel that this song deserves to be in the soundtrack of some melancholic vintage film, I love her vision 🤍🤍

It sounds to me like Lana’s later albums got inspired by Holly Macve’s vibe and not the vice versa 😆. Holly has her own vibe and I would say she and Lana are just exploring the same kind of realms, each in their own way, and not copying each other.

holly said this was written on the same piano as the piano in Surburban House ♥ edit: the high piano riff also reminds me of old songs by bruce Springsteen and the e-street band, my dad's favourite 🥺

Its ok but its so obviously derivative of Lana its distracting. Its basically a diet version of Lana's style and visuals.

If you listen to Holly’s earlier music you’ll understand her own style. I get what you’re saying, but other people can produce similar music to Lana’s and that’s okay. She was obviously inspired by her in this song, but I can personally tell that she’s also put her own style in it. I personally love the visuals and it’s ok that it’s Lana’s aesthetic as well, they’ve actually collaborated for the reason that they are each other’s fans.

I've been a fan since dollhouse, but comparing Melanie to Lana is absolutely wild. Stay in your own lane. I'm serious. You're making a fool of yourself, and I hate to see anyone do that.
