I was a History public high school teacher in Los Angles for 23 years. For years, I endured being the butt of the jokes when I would express my conservative views in front of my liberal colleagues (and they were the vast majority) who were "nice" to me in front of my face but laughed behind my back. When my district handed us these new textbooks and forced me to teach things in my History class that I just couldn't agree with, I left. It was so refreshing to sit in a crowded theater in Los Angeles and laugh with complete strangers...Hispanics, Blacks, Asians (I'm Filipino), Whites...it didn't matter...WE ALL LOVED IT! For once, it felt good to LAUGHT OUT LOUD at the other side and not have to disguise my enjoyment!

@@shinian6523 Have you heard of "historical revisionism"? It's basically the left hijacking all of our public school textbooks and making sure it has their slant in everything. For example, I was being told to teach that Filipinos were taken advantaged of by the "evil white men" when the US colonized the Philippines from 1898-1946. While that may be true to a point, I wasn't allowed to point out all the obvious benefits that the US-Philippines ties had like how Americans helped Filipinos take our country back from the Japanese in WWII. My grandfather, a soldier, proudly fought alongside his "white" counterparts in the Battle of Manila and many of them stayed friends till the day they died.

Tim, it is not a mockumentary. A mockumentary is a movie like “This Is Spinal Tap,” a movie that is entirely fictitious but that is presented in the form of a documentary. “Am I Racist?” Is not fictitious. It genuinely documents the true words, deeds and attitudes of its subjects. The fact that it is funny and that it mocks its subjects and their worldview doesn’t make it a mockumentary. This movie mocks what it documents, but it genuinely documents what it mocks; it is a documentary.

Well you have to invent some story to dissuade exposure to forbidden materials. The church of Scientology told people that if they researched L. Ron’s teachings outside the CoS, they might catch pneumonia. The regressive Left tells people that if they don’t accept the Left’s curation of reality, they might catch racism.

Ironically, the incessant desire to hide movies like this from the public naturally drives people to want to see it more. Critics would be MUCH better off just reviewing it, and then telling people it's not worth seeing if they actually feel that way. But ignoring it creates an allure.
@zanleekain117Ай бұрын
Yes, exactly. If you put a little kid into a room filled with toys and say "don't look into that box in the corner" and then leave the room, the first thing that kid will do, is look into the box. By ignoring the film so hard, they are getting everyone interested. 😆 🤣 😂

I’ve heard it expressed as "mother’s rule". Simply put, if you don’t want the kid to read the book, put it front and center n the bookshelf. Put the one you want him to read up in an inaccessible corner and like magic that’s the one he'll seek out and read.

That would be great if all kids were taught that. However, a relatively large portion of non-ws have been taught to hate your kids for their race from every angle. Awareness of this can be quite important for safety reasons.

@@lucid227 As long as you teach the Christian axiom "Love thy neighbour", your kids will be okay. If you hate your neighbour and by proxy, his wife, kids, siblings and friends, the logical process will be that hating a skin colour is normal because hate is acceptable. internet says the budget was 3 million. Thats nothing for a movie. Its even low for a low budget independent film. They made that up early into opening weekend while only being available at 1500 locations. Independent media can replicate this, idk maybe Walsh used up all the fun mocumentary ideas already, but if not, this is easily possible for independent media outlets like timcast.
