When a person says "they were born that way" I say yes, we are all born sinners, thats why we need to be "born again" and become a "new" creation in Christ
@justsayin16433 жыл бұрын
I worked in ministry if I was asked that question I would say we are all born to sin now how it manifests in our lives is part of our brokenness. James 2:10 days if we fail in one area of the law we fail in all. When sin entered in humanity Satan out of his hatred for God brought in not just sin in its various forms but cancer, etc. Mental illness.

This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the argument. When I say I was born this way, I mean that being gay is an innate part of me, much like my hair color and skin color. These are things that cannot be changed, not even with prayer, and your reply is to call them sin. You might as well argue that I can pray my way out of the "sin" of aging. Do you see why this will get you nowhere?
@veganc50283 жыл бұрын
@@anniecarter5532 I know that you believe that to be true, but you are being deceived by the devil into believing that so he can keep you in sin. By the way, its not "my reply" to call them sin. Its God, clearly, saying it in the Bible. Please repent, and ask Jesus into your life now. When you take your last breath, it is too late and you will spend eternity in hell.

So so true!! As a black woman, when I got saved in my late twenties, and discovered that my race no longer defined me, I was a new creation in Christ!! It freed me!! I no longer felt constrained by the constructs of men and I could now love anyone for who they were, not what they looked like. I remember expressing to my children that it broke my heart to see a whole group of people literally defining themselves by who they had sex with?! Like how satanic is that! That is the sum total of who you are?! What a lie from the pit of hell!! My heart breaks for Ellen Page, I will pray for her. Love your heart, love your ministry, we’ve lost friends, but we’ve gained bothers and sisters, a family in Christ!!!

Beckett, I love hearing your story because it reminds me of my own conversion to Christ, which happened in LA, too, back in 1995. I was 25 yo and so depressed thinking the same thing you were thinking, "is this all there is?" I pulled into a church parking lot, walked into the church, looked for the minister, and, consumed with tears said to him "I didn't know where else to go, please help me!" He was kind to me and spoke with me for a while. And as I opened the door to the outside parking lot to leave, His light came into me and filled up my body and I experienced a peace that is beyond understanding and I KNEW it was Christ and I heard his voice, though not an audible one, say to me "I love you and I forgive you." In that moment I wept unabashedly for all the times I denied him, for feeling completely loved by Him though I didn't deserve it. I felt born again and I realized in that moment that I was born again through Christ. BTW, I was not a Christian when this happened to me. I had never read the Bible, didn't know anything about the gospel when this happened to me. I was totally ignorant if his teachings. He totally turned my life around. I have learned so .much about His Word and his disciples, the Bible and what TRUTH is since then. God bless you and this ministers.

All I can say is that for awhile now my parents Bonnie and Terry Tipton f Las Vegas, Nevada have been able to make me feel like a person who has never done anything correct in life. And so has my sister Shawn Noone and her husband Jeremy Noone as well as their sons. Alondra Ramirez, the partner of my nephew Travis Noone has been able to make me feel that way. Ok, they have all been perfect people, who have made flawless decisions. I have been made to believe I am the opposite. It has been a social environment which has been a torture chamber of guilt and failure. It never stops. The agony never stops. I have resisted getting a haircut because A. Ramirez can make me feel that way.

He is now a Christian and spends most of his time counseling trans individuals who are miserable and on the verge of suicide. Changing their gender did not fix anything. He says that he was led astray by a therapist and thinks many others are also. He has been happily married to his second wife for about 20 years.

So amazed at your testimony. I'm 62, I got saved when I was 18. After graduating High school I went to a small Christian College. There I met so many great people and after a while I realized that several of the guys I had gotten to know were struggling with homosexuality. I had no idea at all how to talk to someone about this. So wish I had had somebody like you to steer them toward. I lost 5 friends to AIDS from 1978 through 1986. That was back when somebody got HIV it was a death sentence and some people went fast it seemed. Loved hearing about your realization of what you gained and how it is so far beyond what you lost due to your testimony. You truly are like Paul on the road to Damascus. In this time your voice is so powerful. And perhaps one of the greatest things you are helping to happen is the softening of Christians hearts toward those who are suffering from gender dysphoria.

Almost as soon as I converted, I began losing things (I had actually begun the process of losing things before I was born again), and it's been incredibly painful. I was always so surprised that you were able to continue working in production, so it's interesting to hear you explain that more here. My life pretty much imploded as soon as I found Christ and hasn't stopped for the last 8ish years. The scriptures you read are ones I also take great comfort in (count it all as nothing, if the world hates you, etc.). God bless you, brother!

God prunes things from us to leave us nothing but Him, I think. To draw us closer to Him, to show us he is all we really need. To work out His will in our life so that we can hear on judgment day, "Well done, good and faithful servant." I lost my only child to cancer and was divorced by my husband after 33 years of marriage, but I'm okay because I have Him!🙏

@@PyrPupMom Thank you for sharing your testimony and your thoughts. God has actually spoken to me about pruning (using examples in the natural world to help me understand), so my spirit bears witness to what you wrote above. I actually had a devastating loss earlier this year, and I've heard Him ask me, "Am I enough for you?" I know He is, but I do also feel emotions like grief and loneliness at times. I'm so sorry for the loss of your son and your divorce, and I praise God that He has been with you and comforted you. May God richly bless you!

Becket, thank you so much, from my heart. I saw your 700 Club video a week ago and was talking about it so much to coworkers and friends. I planned on showing it to my high school students next week. Then I stumbled across this video and love the straightforward honesty (which you always seem to have) and truth that you present about the world and its acceptance of Christians "up to a point." Everything you say in this video is a topic of conversation that have come up in class with my Christian students in a Christian high school. Blessings over you in Jesus name. The power of simply praying in public or reading your Bible in public is something I am always trying to point out and get across to my students. Your testimony is a witness to that...a simply action like reading a Bible can impact the lives of so many people, creating a domino effect, like it did in your life. Thank you for not holding back...and speaking the truth. You have planted lots of seed for God to work with in peoples lives.

I happened on your page. I have a gay son. He came to us a couple months ago and he said he was involved with a woman she was it his person. He said the same thing he was no longer a gay man. He now has become involved again with the gay lifestyle. I am so impressed with you and your testimony. I wish my son could watch your videos because I think he doesn't want to live that lifestyle.but it has such a strong hold on him. You are so inspiring. ❤️ I have got to read your book! My son is an avid reader I will be passing it on!

Beckett, when I read your book, it made me so excited! Your experience of becoming a new creation in Christ was so similar to mine. I wasn't a gay man living in LA but a straight woman living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. 😊. But 2Cor. 5:17 was just as true and real. I was 19 and am 55 now. It was so good to remember how Jesus and I met. Thanks so much for writing your book.

Everyone is praising Ellen on her decision, I wonder if a single person has shared the gospel with her. Ellen if you read this, there is a God, he loves you more than you know and be open minded enough to at least give Him a chance.

Hey Beckett! I just wanted to tell you that I have been a struggling Christian for years. I have struggled with doubt and wondering if I really have the Truth. I've looked at apologetics, found answers to many hard questions, yet the doubts still linger. I read your book and have listened to you share your testimony and it has been so much more helpful to me than other things I have done. I can always find reasons to explain away the answers I find to questions, but how can I deny the testimony of a radically changed life that is praising the name of Jesus? I can't explain that away so easily. I genuinely appreciate you sharing what Christ has done in your life. He is using you mightily.
