I love the more natural, almost "untamed" quality of many European graveyards much more than the perfectly manicured grounds of many of the "memorial gardens" here in the US.

I loved all the Titanic graves and memorials. Violet Jessup was one heck of a woman to survive all three White Star Line ships. Thank you for showing her resting place to someone who will never be able to travel due to medical problems. Also, Bruce Ismay's story breaks my heart. It was reported that he was throwing chairs and anything else that would float overboard before finally boarding a lifeboat out of fear, sent a message back to get home as soon as possible and signed it Yamsi (Ismay backwards), and ended up living his life mostly in solace after being branded a coward for being the senior most official to survive Titanic. Again, thank you, as always, for taking a very sad subject and handling it with grace and dignity.

I read a book around the 100th anniversary of the TiTanic about Ismay, he lived here in Ireland for a while after the events, in a small village and the local children used to give him a hard time. Very Sad😔. As for Violet Jessop wow, but if you knew her past history with ships would you want to be on one with her.🤔☺️

A few fun facts about George bests grave. My nana shares the same graveyard as George. And when he has buried there was 24 hours security at the grave for quite a while afterwards as there were fears of grave robbers. And the memorial flowers for him covered hundreds and hundreds of meters of the graveyard. So many people came to pay their respects thays there had to be a queue/walk way system to keep everyone moving smoothly as to not decend into chaos! I've met his son callum up there a few times lovely guy 🙂 Bravo on another brilliant video!

Rory Gallagher, who still to this day is a highly regarded musician, toured incessantly until the 1990’s. Like Lynott, he also has a statue (in Cork city), and thousands make the yearly pilgrimage to visit his grave, statue, and town. Cork also has a well attended, week-long, yearly music festival in his honor (Pandemic permitting).....

Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England! I’ve said before and I’ll say it again: Bravo Mr. Dark on another quality production!!!!!! Dolores O’Riordan: Her death in January 2018 shook me. Many a night in the 1990s I would drive home between 2-5am and about to doze off when Linger would come on the radio and I’d perk up by singing along! : Edward Muharram: We used to watch The Ghost and Mrs. Muir on ABC on US television and watch Knight Rider on NBC in the 1980s! Oliver Reed: The movie “Oliver!” was directed by his uncle Sir Carol Reed. It was such a shock when he died but then in a way not a surprise do to his legendary drinking. In 1999, I was wondering how they were going to complete the movie, Gladiator. Saw the movie twice. If you look close you can tell some of the scenes depicting his character walking in shadow aren’t him! Veronica Guerin: I remember her murder; journalists doing your job, BEWARE! Violent Jessop: Sinking ships seemed to be her specialty; she just kept surviving! Wilfred Hyde-White: I saw his episode of Columbo. Thomas “Crapper”: The name says it all! Anton Walbrook: Discovered him in The Red Shoes by accident watching THIS-TV Network at 4am. He did a number of films for The Archers! As always, you NEVER disappoint. Always informative, respectful and NOT tabloid!

It makes me long for the talent of yore. The ones I know of feel like true friends. The ones I don't know of, feel like true friends that I wish I could have known of while they were still upon this earthly plain. One of the few missing so far that I would have loved to have seen is Sir Harry Lauder's final resting place. Thank you so much Mr. Dark for bringing us all here to share in our favorites. I enjoy these foreign cemetery travelogues so very much. Not only is young Mr. Dark's dulcet tone pleasant to the ear, but his dialogue reflects the enormous amount of research required to produce these wonderful episodes. I delight in receiving notification of each new video and I'm certain my fellow taphophiles are in agreement. Do I suffer from COS (Covid Obsessive Syndrome) or did some individual place a surgical mask on Danno O'Mahony's statue? It is fascinating to see the final resting places of luminaries, dignitaries and even the occasional scoundrel. This channel is far superior to others that attempt to tap into the genre of documenting cemeteries. Well done!

Glad you enjoyed the footage from Cork. As a fellow Corkonian I felt the need to go filming for HG. Included here were 9 of my vids. I sent in about another 10 but hopefully they will appear sometime in another episode.

Yay👏! Thank you! I love these, Mr. Dark, and to all those who help out👍 And what a fantastic thing Berrie did. Royalties to a children’s hospital. Too bad more people don’t do that. Seems like all I usually see is families fighting over it.

So look forward to these videos. Resting places of many of the people who I remember from my childhood. Also so interesting about the family who played a part in the writing of Peter Pan and their tragic deaths.

I’ve always wanted to see where Dolores was buried. I miss her. I was so upset when she died.

I also filmed Dolores grave for this but it wasn’t used here. The cemetery is in the middle of the country, actually next to farmyard so you will probably hear cows there.

George and Gerald Du Maurier were grandfather and father of Daphne Du Maurier. When she died her ashes were scattered over Menabilly Head in Cornwall where she lived for so many years.

I wondered if Daphne was related to them. Du Maurier is rather an unusual name. I read Rebecca approximately a million years ago! 🤣 I try to catch the movie with Joan Fontaine & Lawrence Olivier when it's on TV. Thanks for the info!

Very well done, thank you. I think your videos will last a lot longer than you imagine they will. Who in the future will put so much effort into chronicling so many final resting places of so many famous - and not so famous - figures?

That was really cool. I had no idea these videos existed ! I learned a lot about different actors, actresses and historical figures! I think my favorites were the Peter Pan clan. Such tragic stories of the namesakes of the story. They died so young. Now I know where the nickname for a toilet comes from! For some reason I really like knowing why and how people passed away, and seeing old grave sites. I'll have to check out the other videos, thanks for making these! They're very entertaining. And beautiful scenery.
