Betty White is the greatest celebrity to ever live. We use the term celebrity too loosely these days...but Betty White TRULY is a celebrity. Funny, smart, charming and such a generous actress who isn't afraid to put it all out there.

Who's the set designer here? An empty room with a hard floor and a marble table? Surely they had to know there'd be an echo throughout the whole interview. They could have at least put down a rug to absorb some of the sound. I know I sound ridiculous but it kills me that people get paid so much money to make these rookie mistakes.
@ExclusiveLM9 жыл бұрын
The echo in this room was due to the fact that they all sat inside of a prehistoric dinosaurs vagina.
@NotJamesWhelan9 жыл бұрын
jagboy9899 In fairness this is the hollywood reporter, not tv so I doubt they even paid a set designer. They probably just went with what they could get. You are right though.

Glad they included Kaitlin Olson because I feel like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is hands down one of the funniest shows out there, been on for 12 seasons and still going strong, but it's not paid enough attention. I love it so much. And anyone who watches It's always Sunny know how great Sweet Dee is :) And the rest of the gang
@johnfreeman12977 жыл бұрын
She's probably been the most underrated comedian (male or female) for the better part of ten years. Even from Sunny fans, Charlie and Glenn seem to get the most love. Glad, she's starting to get a little more popular lately.

I just watched some clips from the pilot episode of Sunny, but it was with a different actress. The video did a shot-for-shot comparison of the other actress against Kaitlin's performance, and it's plain as day how much better Kaitlin was. She really carries that entire show. I love Charlie, Rob, and Glenn, but Kaitlin takes it to a whole other level of hilarity.

For me, and I'm a huge Jessica Walter fan anyway, she doesn't come across as arrogant, but more that she's incredibly passionate about her work and takes it very seriously. She seems like someone who'd just love to talk about her processes and work all day because it's what she loves the most. Admittedly I think she does come across quite strong here, but I guess that's just her personality

I don't want this to come across as backhanded, but I honestly didn't even realize that Blossom wasn't "hot" when that show was on TV. Like... I don't want to come across as judging her looks, it's just to say that on TV during that time it didn't even seem like the attractiveness or "conventional look" of a female lead was a talking point. Nobody cared to talk about anything other than the quality of the show.

It's a matter of what is interesting to you, it has nothing to do with the actors. Please, be-careful not to compare apples and bananas, they are both very good and tasty fruit to those like them, it immature of you to dislike and actress for a role they play. Big Bang is a very good show for those who value quality and complex work.
@JohannesWiberg6 жыл бұрын
I actually think that Kaley Cuoco could do great things if she wasn't stuck in that role. Mayim's role in TBBT was initially hilarious but later turned into just another enabler woman character. Mayim would be an awesome person if she wasn't idiotic enough not to vaccinate her kids. All her credibility - especially as a science literate person - went down the drain when she admitted that.

Compared to this year, this roundtable was much better. I really think it makes a difference when comedy actresses have experienced comedic backgrounds on different shows and they have insight into the comedy business and aren't afraid to be critical but still thankful. These are veteran actresses who don't care about networks or saying controversial things and they openly talk about idolizing other comedic actresses and shows like its not a bad thing

I don't understand why Betty began picking on Mayim for complaining. She wasn't complaining about what she does she was complaining about the failure the comes with what she does. I did watch the whole thing, it was directed directly at her because she too is a young actress and the comment was said right after Mayim's "crying" statement but it also to everyone there. They were all complaining about what comes to being a celebrity and blah blah blah. And that is why they all felt they needed to agree with Betty and share how they deal with it. I mean everything Mayim complained about was agreed with by the other young actresses or has been said by many other celebrities.

I love the honesty of this panel and actually liked that I learned about how they feel about the production difference from years ago to now. New actors don't appreciate how easy they have it in some regards or how difficult it may be in others. And I do agree that actors should be given time to learn the script ahead of time. These directors now a days are so indecisive and ADD, they change stuff every five minutes with no structure. I also agree that unless you are doing something different and new each take on set, that it can get tiresome and annoying repeating a take over and over again for a different camera during single cam. I love learning how people feel about the process and how it used to be vs how it is because I'd love to work with the older actors vs some of these new gen actors, because some of them don't cut it in my opinion. I'd love to bring some old parts of the process back especially the use of practical effects vs cgi. You get a more real response from an actor by actually having cold or hot weather or seeing the monster vs following a tennis ball on a stick pretending somethings there. Oh yeah ,I don't like this set up or the echo but the information is still good.
@JC2228 жыл бұрын
I get your point but most times actors still have to imagine the monster because its going to be cgi anyway.
