Composer’s Notes:
Stage 4 Hard was the last track I worked on near the deadline and I did it in a record 4 days 😂 I already kinda had the arrangement in my head beforehand and Marbs contributed to setting up the midi notes and a bit of the arrangement (the translation of the verse speak-singing parts into notes and the spicy chords in the prechorus were his idea!) and so we managed to finish quickly.
I kept the same drumlines from the normal Stage 4 track both as a callback and also to keep the stadium feel, but this time i included intense crowd claps. I envisioned the crowd in the stands clapping MENACINGLY while watching you get chased by the possessed fans who are pouring into the field. I actually didn't know there was going to be lightning in the stage so when Kay showed me the stage with the BGM in, I was pleasantly surprised how well it fit.
This is the looping version of the track as heard in-game. There will be a standalone version released later on once a compilation of tracks can be created. Thank you for enjoying this remix!

Man every update makes me hyped to see what Hard Mode BGM they cooked. All of them are bangers that give me the adrenaline boost to power through the stage, and this one is no different! This song and Myth or Treat really emphasize how threatening the enemies are, with the tone being more daunting and sinister whereas stages 1 and 2 BGMs emphasize the player’s dramatic struggle to survive. And Stages 3 and 4 have enemies take more action, as they charge and shoot at you more aggressively on both stages. Hell even the weather wants you dead in stage 4. But hey, it’s not like they can make stage 4 any harder- wait what MATH?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This rendition really makes Stage 4 Hard a true test for the player. The rapid drumming really sets the mood with the stage being in a thunderstorm. Literal boss theme where you gotta give it your all to win. I usually play Holocure with sound off since I watch other streams while I play, but for this song alone I'm making an exception. My favorite song in the game so far! Man, if you can do something like this...I'm looking forward to the Holostars being added one day, and if Oga's "Faker Faker" is remixed for Holocure, holy crap that's going to be epic...

This is the first Hard stage theme where I would say there is NO world in which this theme isn't put in a hard stage. All previous hard stage themes did also have a distinct quality to them that differentiates them from normal stage themes, but they have enough moments of low tension that you could kinda justify putting them in a late normal stage. THIS theme however never lets you breathe for a single moment, a perfect fit for the constant harassment you face while playing S4H.

Oh yea, first time around, Smollie killed me with a math question because I thought it was kne of those big bomb enemies. I only saw the math question after I died, and a big red x over the heart explosion. Cleared second time around, though, once I figured out the gimmick. (Having vampire stamp + nurse horns and 300hp does help.)
