Russ, so surprised you would know anything about Craig Mt. Truly amazing! From the 1950’s and early 60’s my grandparents owned the little cabin off to the right as you first crossed the bridge entering Craig. So amazed you would know and film it. Many trips to Grandma’s were made from Whitehall and Helena up to Craig over the years. Now that I’ve been away from Montana for years your videos this year are really special bringing back some great childhood memories. Especially now as I my 90 year old father past away this spring and we are traveling to Montana to finally have his memorial later in September which has bee delayed four months due to covid pandemic. Each of your videos since Earthquake Lake have very specific meaning from my early childhood. So, may God bless you for sending these wonderful videos. Keep up the good work and stay safe along your travels!

Modern engineering techniques and standards make that second bridge across the Missouri River safer and likely more cost effective in construction and maintenance, but it just lacks the character of its sister seen at the beginning of the video. Beautiful country, Russ; thanks for getting off the interstate to show it to us.

I’m wondering if the “ U.S. routes had FHWY brass placards on the end abutments telling what year the bridge was built. I’ve discovered such is the case on U.S. routes through Texas , when crossing state lines and county lines the ROW is marked by brass placards

Rainbows and Brown trout are the fishing draw. This area, all the way out to and including the Missouri Breaks, grows the largest Mule and Whitetail deer and antelope in the state. The different food crops, water, and minerals really make a difference in body and antler size. Lived up there for ten years. Butte, Anaconda and went to UM in Missoula.
