3:32 Thank you for this beautiful video and recap of your tour. In fact, thank you for all your KZbin content. You bring the Bible to life and it's beautiful and enriching to watch. I don't want to put pressure on you for you to know the answer, but perhaps you do know the answer and then I will be a fool not to ask. My question is: "Do you perhaps know why us Christians keep the Sabbath on a Sunday and not on a Saterday as our Lord Jesus (our Savior and Example) did?" This really troubles me nowadays and I'm trying to find the answer. I will be very grateful if you can help with this. Thank you and once again thank you for all the beautiful content that you share!

I WANT TO GO SOOO BAD!! I know it would always be with me for the rest of my life on earth.
@messagesofChrist8 жыл бұрын

@messagesofChrist7 жыл бұрын

Hi Backpacking through the North of Israel? Check out The German Colony Guesthouse in Haifa. We have very low prices and are located in the beautiful city of Haifa, walking distance from Elija's Cave and at very close distance by bus to Nazareth, Meggido, Kanna, Capernaum and to the Sea of Galilee.

@messagesofChrist8 жыл бұрын

What an amazing journey! And a stone manger.....the irony. Like he was born to be buried in a stone cave. Amazed that pushing an elevator button is considered, "work". I think I'd be in shock about being served that fish though.

May I know what month you went there?
@messagesofChrist6 жыл бұрын
We went in early May. Late spring early summer is the best time. If you go too early in the year (March to early April) you will get a lot of rain, though it is Holy Week, so that is one benefit. Around late April to early May you will have cooler days (then summer or fall), less rain, flowers blossoming, and less people.

@@messagesofChrist ooowww our trip is on the last week's of November. Guess it's going to be almost winter and be very cold.
@messagesofChrist6 жыл бұрын
Well, Israel does not really get too cold (at least not very often). In winter (January-February) you will get a day or two of snow in Jerusalem, but that is about it. November weather will be 60-70F degrees with Jerusalem being around 40-50F degrees. You won't get the greenery (not like spring at least), but you will have very pleasant weather and less people. You will still love it!

JST Mark 9:4. "And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: or in other words, John the Baptist and Moses..." (See also verse 13.) Different editions of the LDS Bible Dictionary offer different rationalizations for the discrepancy between what is commonly taught and what the scriptures, as corrected by Joseph Smith, say. Matthew's and Luke's accounts strongly suggest that only two personages appeared. For example, Peter wanted to "make here three [not four] tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias" Matt. 17:4. HC does not contradict this, saying only that Moses and Elias were there. Jesus had all keys so it was not necessary for Peter, James, and John to receive them from Moses and Elijah, as Joseph and Oliver did in Kirtland. So why did Moses and John the Baptist appear on the Mount? (I believe it was probably Mt. Hermon not Tabor.) Moses and John the Baptist were the first and last prophets, respectively, under the Law of Moses. They were the bookends of the Law, its beginning and end. By appearing and ministering to Jesus, they were definitive witnesses to Peter, James, and John that the Law of Moses was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. This was probably the primary purpose for their appearance. Mistakes in doctrine and history are perpetuated and rationalized even by Church leaders. (A friend has a prepublication manuscript copy of McConkie's Mormon Doctrine, in which McConkie perpetuated several myths. Fortunately, these were removed, at Pres. McKay's request, before publication.) I know you love the scriptures.
