Thanks for the kind comment man! Ive been to LBC and done bad 4 times. I dont think ill be fishing up there for awhile. But yeah, I enjoy and endure every catch. Not because of a video or anything. Its because its my passion and man I enjoy every second of it. The thrill of having a fish on the line is always pleasing. Whether it is a big one or a small one. Either way it hits the spot.

Fish deep. Find sandy bottoms for halibut. Fish with the current. If youre fishing san diego Bay. Fish the bay bay towards silver strand or around tidelands park. If youre going far out towards mouth. Fish around harbor island or the bait barge. Or towards the military base west towards mouth. Zuniga jetty.

Just picked up some JP spins at Fred hall, dig the action. I gota figure out how to fish them tho, I was throwing 18g this morning on my light setup but kept pulling up eel grass. Do you think the 18 was too heavy? How do you keep them how of the grass? Nice mack btw, biggest I've ever seen! Haha

Fishing that bait is pretty simple. If youre getting too much grass. Retrieve with rod tip up with a steady speed. If youre still getting grass. Find the retrieve that will not get you hung up on grass. 18 is ideal for the bay. I use 18g for standard, 7 for slow current and 30 for high current and deeper structure. Find the cadence in your retrieve, dial it in. Also, do not throw straight braid. Feel for the blade spluttering like a spinner bait. You will get hung up on your own hooks every now and then but onve you figure it out. You'll do just fine.
