i mained a holy priest back in SL, i found it to be one of the easiest healers out there as it was literally just spam flash heal, spam big heal when screen is shiny. spam miracle when someones dying... if something bad happens hit 'something bad happening spell' and it fixes it :)

Yeah Holy Priest has the tools to fix almost any situation. I find Holy Pally almost as versatile, but overall better (for me) because it also gives me an opportunity to switch to Tank or DPS if I wanted to.

I dont agree H.Pal is easy for new players. Theyre reliant on cooldowns and holy power meaning you have to track those along with health bars. There are moments where you'll have few healing resources and have to make a decision between building holy power or using their weak/slow casts as filler. Finally being melee is a pain since any mechanics forcing you at range means no or slow holy power building. For new players i think Resto Druid, Holy Priest and Resto shaman are probably easiest.

I agree with your logic but as you would have seen from the video, I didn't rank Holy Pally the 1st and most beginner-friendly. I simply recommend it as relatively easy - if played and built the way I explained it - and I personally enjoy it. No way Resto Druid, but yes - it's between Holy Priest and Resto Shaman if you look from the bottom of the barrel.

As a person who mains holy paladin I have to say Holy Paladin is great and fun if the group is going smoothly. It really does rely on a good tank, not solid in gear but competent. A tank who overpulls constantly, does not manage aggro well and can't pay attention to the fights or adds is a holy paladins worst nightmare. I strongly, STRONGLY recommend if you are going to play Holy Paladin DO NOT pick it up at 60 or 70. You will be overwhelmed and it takes time to understand when to use what and in what situations. Holy is a class that you grow into and the class feeds you abilities along the way and gives you a chance to learn how and when to use it. Switching specs at 60 or 70 to the class and just winging it is suicide and while it can be learned I feel it's going to give you a bad reputation with people and worst of all frustrate you due to the amount of reaction healing and such you need to learn. Overall though, 2 handed holy Paladin is super fun.

Hi, I have a question, I dont like doing dmg as a healer.. HPal has also the opportunity to play as a caster - can he compete with other healers as a caster build?

Hey good question and many of us BEGGED blizzard over the years to make Shockadin a real thing, but they kinda didn't. Playing as a damager in Holy spec is of course *possible* but I can't imagine you being particularly competitive on DPS charts. Plus, the UI won't let you queue for dungeons as DPS while in healing spec (at least I think it switches you to DPS spec once you've zoned in, if you've queued as DPS).

Hey thanks for taking the time to make this guide! I have a few questions about the talents. Is double beacon really better in M+ over Beacon of Virtue? I feel like the 15 sec CD on what's effectively an AOE heal is pretty good no? Also could you explain the reasoning behind taking Avenging Wrath over Avenging Crusader and why you don't take Blessing of Seasons and Bestow Faith,? Thank you very much! Edit: I also see you haven't Rebuke, is there a reason for no kick?

Hey glad you liked the guide. I personally prefer to have a permanent allocation of my passive healing "spill" vs. having another option on an extra button and with a cooldown... Not taking Rebuke is an honest mistake, I've miscalculated the points while I was leveling and have fixed it for the end-game. The other choices are probably mostly explained by the build being generally incomplete as presented in the video, and me not really ever min-maxing for performance in higher M+ and other content. I will update the build shortly, once I'm happy with all the little kinks in the early end-game for this toon.

@@SonDzokuo as soon as i seen him not doing anything when heals were not needed i said no way this is not who i need to listen to lol ALWAYS-BE-CASTIN/SLAPPIN and his PoV wasnt even high lvl gameplay so yeah lots of red flags
