The holy spirit is also said to intervene at dark moments, at rock bottom for many suffering individuals. Many conversion stories (including Ravi Zacharias') have the same template: The individual is at their darkest point, whether it be substance addiction, or a depressive state of mind, or looking to commit suicide. But then Jesus or the holy spirit manifests and stops them from going down the dark path. That's the familiar template, but in reality, there is no such divine intervention. Many Christians often deconvert when they get no divine help in their darkest moments. Sorry Christians, that's the reality. You have the power to overcome your urges, it's not the devil that makes you commit bad deeds against people. And you won't be transformed until you realize what you've been taught from a young age is all lies.

I don't think you understand the gist of the video. The topic is not about people who do not believe in the HS.The video is entirely from the context of born again Christians - RZ himself, his family, his board, the senior leadership and the poor victims of RZ - who believed in the holy spirit, who prayed for the holy spirit to intervene every day of their lives, who communed with the holy spirit every moment of their waking hours. And despite all those prayers for intervention, it seems like, (based on what happened) that the HS didn't show up in any of their lives even once. The Zacharias couple were Christian leaders praying everyday of their lives, yet they drifted apart in 35 years, and RZ ended up in affairs outside marriage, where was the HS? RZ suffered from unrestrained sexual desires for decades. Where was the HS? His staff were also Christian leaders who became RZ's unintentional accomplices. But they were kept in the dark and today they hang their heads in shame. Where was the HS? RZ's victims had to go through an ordeal and are without a proper closure to this day. They were all born again believers. Where was the HS? I will ask the same question I asked in the video, "If this is not failure of the HS what is?" You may well choose to believe that the HS is a real being and he works. I have no problem with your belief. But if proselytizers make false claims and convert others on the false promises of his (HS's ) transformative powers, I will have to call that falsity out through my videos. Proselytization has to stop!

Vinaya, I will give you another perspective: The difference between the faltering of Christian pastors and that of Hindu babas lies in the doctrines of both the worldviews. Hindu godmen can falter, but not Christian godmen, if Christian claims are true. Christianity claims that all human actions are either from the HS (good) or from the evil spirit (bad). When a person becomes a Christian he is asked to repeat a simple prayer inviting the HS to come into his heart. Then, the HS automatically accepts the invitation and comes to dwell in the new convert. No SADHANA is needed for the transformation of a Christian, HS is supposed to have the transformative power. HS is claimed to guide and counsel, convict and control. HS is claimed to transform the individual. There are millions of testimonies around the world that say that "he or she was once a drug addict or a convict but the HS transformed him or her." If these claims are true then no Christian must ever falter. Much less a Christian leader, as I said in the video. But then because they are humans, like any other non-Christian, they tend to falter, too. When this happens, it negates everything that is claimed about the HS. So, in order to explain this Christianity invented another concept - Freewill. It is a big mess - it is circular reasoning and nothing else. The bottom line is, all the claims about HS have been proven to be false by Ravi's example. On the other hand, why did I say Hindu godmen can falter. Not because they are exempt from committing adultery and abusing women. But because of the philosophy of Hinduism, which makes no such claims as Christianity. Hinduism says that human beings are responsible for their actions. Good actions have good consequences, bad actions have bad consequences. It is as simple and scientific as that. Natural law! You see, humans err. Babas are human too. A baba that abuses is just another cheat pretending to be a spiritual leader. Hinduism makes no claims of miraculous and instant transformation of heart and attitude of a human being. Even spiritual leaders and godmen have to work on themselves constantly, in the most human way to transform themselves. There is no external spirit that is guiding the human being. Transformation happens by continuous SADHANA. Not by an external force, in an instant by a miracle. That is the major difference.

There is something called "Free Will". The Holy Spirit does not force anyone to do anything. You are free to follow or reject the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The individual has the freedom of choice. Parents can advise a child to do the right thing. In spite of all the guidance the child can still make a wrong choice and do something wrong. Can you blame the parents for that???

You missed the whole point, didn’t you? Didn’t I say Ravi was being human by exercising his freewill? He can be absolved of his misdoings. But the HS must be held responsible for not discharging his duties that are claimed to be his. He failed in being holy spirit - in admonishing and curtailing his success. When Ravi continued his immorality, the HS should have atleast cut down his funds, pulled down his organization and ended his reach. Lack of funds would have automatically curbed Ravi’s flamboyant lifestyle. But the HS kept giving to Ravi to the end of his life. That is why I called the HS Ravi’s enabler. That was the point that you missed. On top of it you compared the mortal, sinful, limitedly-controlling, less intelligent, human parents who are capable of being moral depravity, disobedience, arrogant and less discerning of good from evil with the most intelligent, all controlling, most powerful, discerning HS who is incapable of tolerating sin and cannot sin in any circumstance. But since you compared let me build on your comparison. The parents in your analogy seem like parents with good parenting skills because they are involved closely in the child’s wellbeing by advising him to do the right thing. But the child makes wrong choices and falters (to compare it with the faltering of Ravi). As part of good parenting, they have certain duties towards their child. They follow multi-stage corrective measure: First: they sit down with him and counsel him lovingly. The child does not heed. Second: they warn him. The child still does not correct himself. Third: they curtail his freedom, his pocket money, his incentives, any other comfort they may be giving him. Even then the child does not heed, they will go to the extreme of disowning him to the point of discontinuing the funding his education. Some parents go through more stages. That is what good parents that love their children, do. If they did not do any of these things, then, yes, the parents are to be blamed for the consequences that the child’s misdoings bring about. If an underage child drinks, whether at home or without the knowledge of the parent, the parent serves jail time. Don’t you know that? Probably concept of freewill is clarified by the discussion on EESVARA..👇 259 Svara of EESVARA Svara is ra of sva ( "ra" (repeatable sound) produced by sva, the self). If SVARA means the VOICE, then EESVARA is e+e ( no+no ) of svara. "EESVARA" should mean "voiceless", "dumb". In Indian languages EESVARA is the name representing God, the Almighty. EESVARA, the voiceless Almighty!! It carries a lot of meaning. Usually voice is raised for claims of plundering or claims of rights. BRAHMA on creation stepped out of MA by receding from the space, power & knowledge (diluting His own omnipresence, omnipotence & omniscience)... Creator shared these aspects with creatures, MAs. BRAHMA, the Creator has given total freewill to the creature and is silent, or non-claimant on own rights. Probably the name EESVARA implies the complete freedom, freewill which is given out to the creature, MA. While EESVARA, the creator opts to be voiceless with respect to the creature the magnificence of creation loudly announces His greatness, perfection. MA, the creature is given freedom of choice for every possibility widely categorised as MAAYA way or BRAHMA way. MAAYA way expands and strengthens MA, the boundary, isolating it from the rest. BRAHMA way is crossing the boundary in love and scientific temper. BRAHMA way is able to take MA to the real betterment, the journey to the Omni features of the Creator through love and scientific temper. Patanjali talks about Eesvarapranidhaana as essential and ultimate (the last among five NIYAMAs) niyama for YOGA, the connect between SA, the self & TA, the environment. EESVARA+ prani+ dhaana for YOGA implies...Only on accepting (dhaana) the Creator (EESVARA) inside, SA (prani) acquires the ability to love its environment (TA). Mutation from MAAYA way to BRAHMA way is described by Patanjali through YAMA, NIYAMA, the ultimate NIYAMA being Eesvarapranidhaana. CIVILITY and SCIENTIFIC TEMPER in human being commences with the mutation of traits from MAAYA to BRAHMA. Patanjali starts with defining the mutation process as CHITTHA VRUTTHI NIRODHA (CVN). CVN is detailed as YAMA ( control on self initiated by self) and NIYAMA (control on self initiated by the environment). My deepest sincere sympathies to those women who were forced to have meaningless sex with Ravi. But those who got their faith smashed by the tremendous hypocrisy and lies of Ravi, to those people I greet only with my laughter. Your "faith" was an act of tremendous arrogance. What made these silly people think the the stupid ideas floating at the top of their conscienceness could dictate the nature of reality? Those silly ideas were created by social conditioning in the first place, and had to be maintained by constant reinforcement. They were creations of man, and this is obvious to anyone with an ounce of awareness. Someone needs to tell those silly people that actual reality is bigger than the silly ideas in their stupid minds. The fall of these ideas should should be magnified to the highest degree possible. Ideology has killed millions and millions of people in the last century. It is time we cared about actual flesh and blood humans and stop caring about stupid ideas and who gets their feelings hurt when those ideas get destroyed. Hi Esther, I have been watching a few of your videos and I truly agree with what you say. And, I truly understand your point of view in RZ's issue. I am a Christian that do not belong to any denomination or any physical church because Going to church causes my faith to crush. I see too many contradiction right on my face. And, being a Christian, I am 100% against conversion or proselytising. I am okay when people share their experiences or their Miracle or anything but I am not obsessed about it. I believe that my walk with God is more important to me than me inviting other people to walk with me. Moreover, I am quite possessive when it comes to my relationship with God to the extend that I don't share it with others. It takes a personal journey after all😊 I personally think that when a Christian makes evangelism and proselytising his or her number one goal, then they began to make many false claims trying to justify things, claims or concepts that they themselves vaguely know or don't understand. And, the need to maintain a high moral value in the eyes of people leads them to develop Shadow lifestyles and thoughts. Moreover, we have to report in church every week with people waiting to judge and look for our faults. So, the pressure to maintain a self righteous personality consistently out of compulsion can eventually cause other forms of shadow lifestyle to find its outlet. Most of us are not given the time to genuinely transform without being constantly condemned (which is not applicable in the issue of ZC). Moreover, listening to gospels continuously does cause a lot of damage to my inner peace. The gospels are either too much of hope into the unknown future or always battling against the devil. I have never really experienced one gospel that is calm and peaceful. And, the Bible clearly says that the battle has already been won and we have His Peace. Sadly, I don't feel peace and clarity when I go to Church. I do feel pumped up with a false sense of positivity which will gradually dissipate when my logic mind kicks in. In fact, I am embrace Buddhist way of mindfulness and gracefully dwell in my inner peace with the understanding that Christ is my Savior. And, I choose not to complicate my religious stand further, that's why I don't go to church no matter how hard they try to make me feel guilty for not attending church. I am very clear with my stand with God regardless of God being an illlusion or real. I personally feel that the beautiful relationship that I have with my father God is very amazing. This beautiful story that I tell myself about God is so enthralling that I consciously chose to live the lie as it is. After all, we all need a religion and stories behind the religion to keep our restless mind entertained. The simpler I keep my relationship with God and the rules around it, the better it is for my inner peace. I saw your video where you spoke about doing mastes in divinity. I am very impressed. I had all the similar doubts without doing my masters in divinity. I noticed many simple contradiction but it made me more curious and dig deeper when they choose to ditch me somehow. In the 2013, I asked so many questions to so many people. I waited for so many hours at the entrance for the pastors, the priests, the nuns, the church leaders. Sadly, everyone avoided my questions. At first, they avoided my question, later they avoided me. You can see the pain in their eyes, when they see me standing at the corner waiting for the crowd to clear. My questions were very simple yet they avoid answering me and try to move past me. You know what I mean 😏 At this trajectory, I might end up being a Christian mystic😂 I genuinely love my relationship with God and I truly cherish him💖 But, I truly cannot tolerate the drama that the Christians make in the name of evangelism😒 Anyways, nice to know you and I look forward to know more about what you discover in your divinity course. It will be great if you could make videos on the stages or exact points that made you realize the flaws in the religion. For example, I remember you said that when you read about the history of the Church, you didn't find God anywhere in the book (I think you said some thing like that, correct me if I am wrong). So, what was it that you found that book?

For understanding the meaning of "sp" the widely used word spring is also of great help. Ring is a circle which restricts space. "sp" means leaving the limitations of ring in the usage "spring". Even "space" must've come from "sp" of SA. Everything except SA, the self should be the space! SPIRITUALITY is abandoning rituals and the abandoning the crowd that sticks to rituals. Ritual is cyclically precise performance without being conscious of the purpose of the act. On being DWIJAATH the purpose and the reason takes precedence over the adherence to external forms and mindless cyclic activities. Systems and their processes are created by men to avoid being mindful. Lazy mind creates systems. A process contains a series of mindless steps. Mindless repetitive steps bring about the desired output through a well-designed system. Mindfulness is required only at the time of framing processes of the system. Thereafter strict adherence to the steps of the processes would ensure the quality of the output. One's fate is sealed in strict adherence to the system. Eternally the output would maintain the quality. One is bonded to the past by the strict adherence to the rituals. One is destined to the quality. Quality improvement doesn't happen as long as mindlessness prevails. Breaking free of the shackles of past quality is in fact MOKSHA. Of AATMA (SA, the self) the repetitive (mindless) process is MA, the safe and efficient pattern of interaction which SA has consciously built to interact with TA, the environment. This pattern of interaction is mindless (about details of interaction, about its effects on the environment). Patanjali calls MA the CHITTHA-VRUTTHI. Buddha's invitation is for MINDFULNESS for achieving enlightenment/ SPIRITUALITY. Patanjali's invitation is for CHITTHA- VRUTTHI NIRODHA for YOGA ( destruction of MA for the connectivity of SA with TA, the spirituality). In the SA, MA, TA continuum if MA (the pattern of interaction for safety and efficiency created by SA) is destroyed SA, the self becomes one continuous entity with TA, the environment. This is called ADVAITA. Invocation for attaining advaita is TATVAMASI. SA is advised to take care of TA, the environment by this invocation. These words are different. But the idea is spirituality. "sp"ing the rituals. Leaving the rituals. Rituals every individual (AATMA / SA) invariably follow is CHITTHA- VRUTTHI / MA ( the self enhancing pattern evolved from past experiences). Rituals are of 1) selfishness 2) bondage to past. SPIRITUALITY is liberation from bondage to 1) the selfishness and to 2) the past. SPIRITUALITY is SA, the self embracing 1) civility and 2) scientific temper.. Spirituality is the decision to mutate SA, the self in order to treat PARA(other) as APARA(one's own)… ie. 1) to love TA, the other and 2) to accept a more logical opinion about truth which might be different from old ideas… When one pursues SPIRIT ( spiting rituals), the journey might be through narrow gate and through narrow path or face pathless-ness...
