Esther - you are doing a fantastic job. You are asking great, logical questions and are a good listener. As long as you stick to the facts, the truth will reveal itself and blind beliefs will vanish. This is true of blind beliefs from any religion but then Christianity and Islam keep people in fear of eternal damnation. So they are the ones that need true liberation. You are doing great a service to humanity. Thank you.

Esther you are doing a fantastic job. You are opening new avenues of religious debates outside mainstream Hinduism. This will lead more and more debates that allows other religions explain their point of view and also help majority Hindus examine their own beliefs in the light of modern understanding. This will bring new awakening in 🇮🇳 India.

@@steventiger880 Hi Steven, when you travel to Tamil Nadu, please visit Kerala also. Among the so called scheduled caste (or Dalits as they are called now) in Kerala there are people who have accepted Christianity. When they accept Christianity, they will lose all the special preveleges like job reservation and financial assistance given by the state and central government. This is the law in India. Both category had the same status before some of them voluntarily changed their faith, rejecting all those special schemes for uplifting them. Now you can do a comparative study on their lives and see what changes have taken place, if there any..

Tanvi Suchi Not quite. “ as early as 1836 in the Anacalypsis of Godfrey Higgins, who saw the mystery rites of Dionysus as at the root of the Christos myth. In his opinion Bacchus-Dionysus: … was born of a virgin on the 25th of December; he performed great miracles for the good of mankind; particularly one in which he changed water into wine; he rode in a triumphal procession on an ass; he was put to death by the Titans, and rose again from the dead on the 25th of March: he was always called the Saviour. In his mysteries, he was shown to the people, as an infant is by the Christians at this day, on Christmas Day morning in Rome. “ from andrewcollins.com/page/articles/Jesus.htm A story with astronomical connotations and pagan baccanalia. Not historical at all but myth. How come it ties so closely with astronomy and the Sun?

There are many inexplicable ideas in Christianity. Original sin is the first one. Applies to babies too. Jesus took punishment for all humans including those yet to be born, an absurd idea that punishment is transferable to others now and other space and time unlike any physical law. Common law forbids it. Your karma is your own. All it requires to go to heaven is belief in Jesus Christ. Just belief? The main aim is to collect souls by converting others to belief in Christ. What is the point of this? Jesus is the only god? Or god = (Jesus + Holy Ghost + Father)/3 ?

Why would an omnipotent and perfect God suffer from mortal & human afflictions like desire, anger, wrath, vengeance, etc. ? why would he create imperfect creatures if imperfect actions anger him so much that he punishes several generations for the 'crime' of a single person? Shiv Bhatia Look, it is very simple if you look at the core difference. Abrahamic religions following monotheism say that the divine is only transcendent. Polytheism says that the divine is only immanent. But hindu/vedic metaphysics sankhya (validated by experiment and embodied experience) says that the formless divine is both immanent and transcendent. When monotheism itself is flawed and based on blind belief, you don't have to worry about different names they give to their so called "god"

Well a truth is a truth, whether you view it as positive or negative. Giving positive spin on all and sundry is foolish and only serves as solace. If one is looking for solutions, the only option is to face the unpleasant facts of life. If you are only interested in soothing your ruffled feathers and live in denial that is your choice. But let me tell you there are people who want to understand the phenomenon and are interested in finding solutions. We owe that to our future generation.

@austin426512
@austin426512 3 жыл бұрын
Not Caste but Jathi that is prevalent is human creation and if Hinduism is so strict with untouchables, we wouldn’t have elevated Valmiki and Vyasa from Dalit as a divine Maharshi. In present, Mata Amritananda Mayi who is from fisher women jathi, would have been opposed but you see high priests visit and accept her. The discrimination you see in villages is different, there they one want to establish dominance over others. But it is slowly changing
@thescienceofspirituality5068
@thescienceofspirituality5068 3 жыл бұрын
Raji Phillips Even if there is untouchables - it is just a social construct created by Lord Risley ( a British agent) by distorting Varna (guna based on past karma) as birth based and combining it with jathi (occupational groups) based on race science. (used in Africa as well which led to Rwandan genocide) . This rigid structure was called as CASTE - which is a Portuguese word meaning racial hierarchy. So, obviously, why would hindus use a foreign word and create a rigid system based on it? It was done by your white masters. As far as 7 births are concerned, it is just a cosmic allegory for 7 states of consciousness. Moreover, hindu/vedic metaphysics around which dharmic traditions have been built can be well validated by logic, experiment (double slit quantum experiment) and embodied experience (focus + 112 meditation techniques). So called mythical stories or allegorical stories of hindu puranas represent laws of nature. None of the Abrahamic religions were built around any validated metaphysics which led to blind beliefs, fantasy stories, needless prophet or middle man/angels and creation of half baked responsibilities which violate balance of natural law or dharma due to lack of understanding of law of karma and reincarnation

An idol is a man made object that is worshipped as God. What is worship? Worship is when you believe with your heart that the idol can hear you and answer your prayers. You bow down to it, bathe it, feed it, as if it is a real entity. Christian's do not worship the cross or the picture of Jesus. The picture or cross serves only as a reminder.

Stephen mentions a few points that dont make sense but ofcourse he is entitled to his opinions. The Bible is a book and is never worshipped. Idolatory is worshipping an object other that God. Sin is intentionally disobeying God and doing what is wrong in His sight. But God is love, understands our inability to resist sin and has made way for redemption. Adam and Eve were made perfect with free will to decide to obey. They willing chose to disobey God, even though they enjoyed His presence. They disobeyed and instead of asking for forgiveness they blamed others. However, Christianity is less about sin and more about the love of God and His act to redemption. Peter says the early Christian's did not follow cunning man made stories but they were eyewitnesses to the majesty of Jesus. Peace of Christ be with you.
