I bought one of these. Love to fly in my garage daily. I saved up and bought a Dji mini 3 and the stuff I learned on the hs210 has helped me in my adventures with the gps drone now

my moms bf got me one of these and i love it i have a larger hs drone and its really easy and fun for in the house and it even work fine for me with fans in the house and i just fly it around and my dog chases it he loves chasing it and its overall alot of fun for me aswell

i have several slightly larger drones still in boxes that i purchased years ago to sell at flea market... all the batteries went bad ... this thing looks to use same battery size (240mah)... so for $20 its worth buying just so i can get those batteries..Seems like the best choice for anyone starting in this hobby...cheap drones fly pretty much the same as $500 ones... this little bugger should have a lot more punch than the bigger drones i have since it has a bigger size batt for its size... excellent review... i also have a couple of larger brushless drones i built years ago,but never mastered drone flying ... Practicing using these small indoor drones will improve your drone skills big time...and you will be able to fly your big powerful drones out side without losing them or hitting a tree etc...thanks for sharing...

Unless you plan on flying this drone then you'll spend much less money just buying the batteries separately.

@@RDsRCReviews actually i think it should do okay outdoors for those of us that have experience... as long as radio is solid for 100 ft... not sure if batteries ar 2 wire or three wire...my other drones use 2 wire... thanks

I love this little thing, and it's great fun. My only qualm with it is the little connection from the battery to the drone is so small that as a full grown man my fingers, and hands are too big to get it disconnected so I've had to use needle nose. Small problem really, and maybe it's a common issue; I'm not sure because I'm new to them. Anyway great little drone.

so outside if its calm does radio keep good signal like 2.4 g radios? or does radio use a different type of signal??thanks

It is 2.4ghz so it'll keep a good signal regardless to how calm it is outside. Wind has no effect on a radio signal.

Is it a good starter drone that I can use for practice? I'm planning to buy a midrange dji drone but I'm afraid I might crash it, which is hundreds of dollars wasted lol. I'm looking for a toy drone that I can at least use to get comfortable with manually controlling one..

Yes, this is a perfect cheap starter drone and it'll actually teach you to fly which DJI drones can't easily do because they practically fly themselves. There's a purchase link to Amazon in the video description if you want to buy it.

That's odd. Check the connectors. Otherwise it sounds like something is bad. Holy Stone is really good. Amazon will replace it no questions asked.

That's odd, sounds like a motor may not be spinning fast enough. Try calibrating the gyro.

Yes but it'll take some practice but this drone is safe and won't break easily and it'll be great to teach him how to fly without GPS assist. It is a great inexpensive choice!

Being a newb, what kind of range will you get with this? I know you said you will not be able to use outside if there is any kind of breeze, but if you were able to, how far away or up would you be able to get?

You wouldn't be able to realistically go very far. It may have 50m range but there's no way you could control it that far because of its tiny size and lack of fpv you'd quickly lose orientation and lose the drone.

You may be able to if you open up the controller. It is likely a spring. I just don't know how much that'll effect the "altitude hold".

Worked great for a couple of days. But in spite of the keyed battery connector, I accidentally managed to touch the terminals with reverse polarity when installing the battery. The rotors starting spinning fast for an instant but when I turned the battery around it was too late. Something was fried. The LEDs did not light and the drone did not respond to the controller. I think this is a design defect. The circuit board should have a diode at the battery port to prevent any possibility of inducing a reverse polarity. This may cause some power loss due to the voltage drop across the diode but it's better than having a non-working drone. Have returned it and will soon receive a replacement. In spite of this I think it is a great deal!

Huh? If yours does that then calibrate the gyro and take off and if it still drifts then use the trim buttons to fix that. Also check that no props are damaged

Headless mode removes the need to know orientation. No matter what direction you face left, right, forward and backwards will remain the same. Problem is you don't really know which direction you are facing. You'll never learn how to really fly using headless mode.
