For this setup did you need to get a UBEC and did you go with a VTX from Holybro? I just ordered my x650 to learn about assembling drones and their components.

I ended up using 4 ubec's. The 5v volt ubec that came with the development kit powers the servo rail on the Pixhawk. A separate ubec powers the gimbal for the thermal camera, another powers the lights in the arms, and the final ubec powers the lidar sensor. The Holybro V2 OSD works fine and is plug and play with no soldering, however I have changed mine to a micro minimosd module. I did not use the Holybro vtx because I wanted a stronger vtx but the Holybro module will plug right into their OSD with no soldering too. I'm powering cameras and vtx with a separate 12v lipo.
