In my opinion, this album - Powerage - is their most underrated album. It's every bit as good as Highway to Hell and has stood the test of time very well. This song is one of my all-time favorite songs. So bluesy with a hard, jagged edge. This version kills and Brian does a great job filling in for The Man. Great memories of my youth right here.

The little pre-jam session they did before launching into the song perfectly illustrates how everything they did went through Malcolm Young. He hit the first riff, then tied it into Rudds beat and just like that, they were off and running. AC/DC is truly an amazing, one of a kind band that the likes of may never be seen again. This is the best example of why phil rudd is just the perfect drummer for AC/DC, IMO. Here you can listen so well to his using of charleston and his UNIQUE particular groove. Best Band in this World - The Soundtrack of my Life :-)
@Mylosh3510 жыл бұрын
Bon and Brian are like blood brothers to me. This song is Bon's, suits his voice perfectly. But, Bon is dead and long gone. Brian is giving his contribution and homage to Bon and to AC/DC. He puts his heart and soul to every song. Now and forever on, Brian is the only voice of AC/DC. He earned it a long time ago. Bon will be always remembered and Brian still rocks on! Long live AC/DC.

Malcolm Young is the goat of rhythm guitar. He held it down and Phil and Cliff are just excellent. So locked in.

You know guys, we're all blown away by the musical skill of this legendary band but I wanted to add something else. I have a friend who worked a concert venue where ACDC was playing (the location escapes me) . He said that these guys are/were 5 of the nicest, most humble and generous people you would ever meet. Super down to earth and kind. He said they don't see themselves as stars, just guys who love playing together.

True. I ran into Brian and Malcom in Charlotte,N.C. at Double Door Inn several years ago. Really nice guys.

Even though they're only playing to a few cameras and a production crew, they still kick ass.

I wish they would have played the slow and mid tempo songs like this live more often... What's Next to the Moon, Night Prowler, Ride On, Love Hungry Man... and yeah, Gone Shootin'. AC/DC is more dynamic and have more variety then they are given credit for.

That's why Brian is now retired. His technique is killer on the vocal chords, and his are shredded. Lasted almost 40 years though, that's impressive. Never thought he would.

Being +60 I remember when they came onto the musical scene. Around the time when the real (british) punk was at its strongest. AC/DC touched something visceral witin me. Still does. One of the greatest ROCK bands ever. And Brian had the ungrateful task of filling the shoes of perhaps the most rock’n’roll singers (attitude and all) ever to walk the earth. Did it with kudos. Thank you guys!

:16 Malcolm's tone is so iconic. Gives me chills when you get to hear his guitar all by itself. Listening to him hammer out the beginning of Jailbreak live is enough to make your day.
