Home Alone 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time!! It's so cool to see exactly where it was filmed along with Elf and Muppets Take Manhattan (MIss Piggy's mugging was always the best)! Thanks for braving the cold and showing us these locations, such an awesome video :D

That Muppet tribute at the end nearly made my eyes sweaty with respect. Too few people acknowledge the power of creativity that Jim and his team brought us. It’s good to know that the spirit of the muppets lives on through your work. Most people just don’t understand.

Yes the Duncan's Toys Chest building and street scene were filmed in downtown Chicago on West Adams and Lasalle St. And the street where Kevin's uncle's house was and set the traps is actually a fake emulation of a Manhatton side street designed in a Hollywood studio.

The bench next to the one dedicated to Jim is dedicated Sesame Street writer and director Jon Stone. He was a part of Sesame Street from the very beginning until his death. He worked with Jim and the Muppets prior to Sesame Street and played a major role in getting Jim Henson and the Muppets to be a part of Sesame Street.

The end of the Home Alone 2 movie with the arch , stairs and trained pigeons was recreated and filmed on a sound stage at Chicago Studio City on Roosevelt Rd & Central in Cicero Ill. The same studio's that shoot Back Draft , Ferris Bueller and more movies in Chicago. The owner of the studio's is John Crededio who has just died this past June. The studio in Cicero has been demolished and the new modern studio is located on Taylor St. in Chicago partnered with Sony.
