As someone that uses the proximity integration... I'm going to have to figure out what I need to do. However, I think you missed that the Cisco Webex Teams integration and Met Office integrations both aren't compatible with Python 3.12 (yet) and are therefore going to be disabled in this release. At least until the two upstream python library components fix the issue.

Only 2% use proximity integration..... Yeah, I only heard of it when i opened the discord beta channel and some people where discussing it. I didn't know what I was missing :)

@@SlackerLabs You know... it's gotta be a double-edged sword for you. From my perspective, I sub to you and most of the folks that do these types of HA vids. Chapters let me blast through the content that doesn't apply to my install (I'm not using XX). It has to cut down on the view time for you. On the other hand, I am prone to watching intro and outro summaries almost regardless if I can identify them and then just go through the chapters that jump out to me. No chapters and I'm less likely to linger. Eyeball minutes is probably how you get paid and utility is what I'm looking for. Hopefully recurring YTPremium eyeballs payoff well, regardless of percentage viewed. Either way, know I definitely appreciate you and the folks like you that compile these things.

@DethpickleDave nah. It's all good. Sharing information is the goal. The watch time just encourages KZbin to push it to more people. And I totally appreciate everyone that checks out my videos. That alone encourages me to keep it up.

I believe I have talked about it. But it's been a while I think. Don't remember what video it was in. I definitely need to do an updated video on it.

Why can't we get entity auto-updates when names change? Seems like a very simple search & replace function.

I think search and replace might break some intended things. It has already in a handful of my attempts to use it in that way. But I do think it would be nice to have a way to auto update entity ids. But I think that would require a change to Home Assistant. I think the entity_id is the main link to these. So changing entity_id would mean changing every reference. We need a guid or some other unique identifier that becomes the link in the back end, and entity Id just the reference to that guid. Of course it could be like that already and I am just not aware. which in that case...auto updating entity ids all over the place should be easy...

Yes the tuya displays a scan code as soon as you scan it reloads everything it works fine..thanks for sharing...do you know anything about the new govee intergration ?

I haven't checked out the Govee integration. I am not sure I have any compatible Govee devices.

Would you maybe be open to adding chapter markers to these sorts of videos? I think that something like that could go a long way.

After just loosing all my tuya devices on my system (Saturday night) might as well wait for the new integration.... Maybe not. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS! Must get round to local tuya...

Yes matey I lost all my stuff to so I installed the beta and hit tuya and it takes you through it basically a scan code reloads it back.
