I just wanted to share that I had the exact same experience post-birth about how painful the pushing was. The contractions were nothing compared to the pushing. I remember pushing as hard as I could and feeling the excruciating pain take over my whole body. I remember looking at my midwife in the middle of pushing and thinking to myself “I am going to have to have a c-section. There is no way this baby is coming out of me.” I do think it prevented me from being super happy and excited about my baby being born. It was so overwhelming and I remember telling my husband after birth that it was honestly traumatizing. I heard it gets better the next time around because you go into it with experience so you know when you are in transition and don’t second guess yourself. Blessings to you and yours! Congratulations!

Yes it was a very similar experience. I was shocked how hard and painful pushing was for me. I know every birth is different and some women love the pushing stage, but for this birth that was not my experience 😅

Honestly, thank you SO much for sharing about how you didn't experience a euphoric feeling... I understand that every woman's experience is unique is some ways while there are also similarities. I think many women romanticize labor and then there's those of us who don't have babies yet but we're looking for transparency to be prepared rather than having false expectations. Again, thank you!
@TheYoungCatholics Жыл бұрын
Congratulations!!! With my first two labours I screamed like a madwoman. My first I ended up getting the epidural, with my second I didnt have time to get the epidural (whole labour was around 45 minutes!! 20 minutes of REAL labour) and my third labour was unmedicated 12 hours and I laboured quietly. It was an extremely empowering experience. I would suggest reading Ina Mays books and doing lots of breathing prep. Those books really helped me view labour as an amazing thing that you're doing and not something that is just happening to you. My first two births were rather traumatic but my third birth, by the power of God, redeemed the experience. It was beautiful, though still hard. I had no idea that I could labour silently! I even kept telling my husband to go back to sleep so he slept until I was 9cm dilated. Anyways, so proud of you mumma!

I love how real you were with these questions. I had a very long labor and delivery in the hospital. Ended with being put to sleep for a c section. Once I woke I think they asked me if I wanted to see my son and I was like mmm not right now lol. I was so traumatized by it all. It honestly took a while to gain that bond with my son. Postpartum is so crazy. But we are inseparable now. He’s my greatest joy and I adore everything about him! Legend is seriously so cute and I am so happy you and baby are doing well ❤

I relate to a lot of what you said. We attempted a birth center birth with a midwife but our baby's heart rate started dropping during contractions and I was transferred while in the pushing phase. I was like an animal at that point and purely acting from a feral state of mind. I screamed so much, too. After he was born I just remember thinking and saying "I'm just so glad its over". No high... With that beind said, I'm currently pregnant again and feeling scared but also WAY more prepared for the mental part of birth. I feel like I will try to embrace the animalistic side a bit more this time rather than being so shocked by it. I felt a lot of guilt for my "behavior" during birth but your video made me feel like I'm not the only one to experience birth like this. Thank you. Btw, my son's name is Wolfgang! I think Cruz as a middle name for Legend is very sweet. Congratulations on your beautiful baby.

I also had my first homebirth 2 years ago. I had all back labor. Hot water on the lower back took it all away during contrctions. I was in the pool like you but got out and delivered him on the bed. I did t feel grounded enough in the birth pool. I didnt get to experince the high either due to my placenta detaching after the baby came out and put so much pain on my back i couldnt move but it was the best birth experience ever. Had 4 c secruons prior to my natural home birth.

Funny story I actually verbalized wanting to deliver on the toilet, of course I didn’t and looking back I’m so glad I didn’t 😂😂 Excited to watch your birth video. I say keep it real and show it all. I have very similar expirience regarding contractions pain. I have had a labor in hospital and did get an epidural, because my contractions were sooooo painful that I have cried over them and almost climb the walls to avoid the pain (I also felt them in my back). But as time for pushing come, my epidural run away completely and I cannot get additional dosage. The pain during pushing was even worse, at one moment I have felt as I was dying. I have pushed for 1 hour and 10 minutes. So when they wantes to motivate me and said that my son had dark hair I just completely do not mind and was not interested in that information. I just wanted the end of the labor, so the pian would stop. So I really understand you. Because of that experience I did not feel true big love to my baby boy for a couple of weeks. But now I just adore him and do not realise my life without my son ❤

Whatever you feel is best for you to post is what you should post :) I personally want to see the real of it all so I'm not expecting a pure blissful birth like a lot of videos show (not that it's not real). Either way you decide, you can put a trigger warning at the beginning of the video with time stamps of what to skip and also remind viewers of the warning maybe a minute or two before any parts you might consider triggering for viewers. This is your birth story and I think we'll all support how you want to share it or if you want to share it! Much much love to you, Kyle, and baby Legend!!! (Oh and Handsome too🐕)🤍🤍🤍🤍

I can relate with so much that you mentioned about your birth. I gave birth to my baby girl last year in March and it was so bizarre to me when the midwife was telling me you can do this you're so close to meet your girl... I couldn't fathom it the joy and love and bliss that would come after meeting her it grew with time ofcourse but at that very moment I was just focusing getting through each contraction and pain. Even when she came out I was in such relief from the pain. Until the had to push my stomach to help with clearing all the blood out after placenta came out. I still remember I had back labour and the pushing phase but not the intensity anymore I was doubting myself so many times from 8-10 cm was the hardest time I kept saying I can't do it and I need an epidural but the midwife's were so helpful they knew my birth plan and so motivating and my husband was there for me massaging my lower back with each contraction changing with cold compress on my forehead or putting a blanket on me as I got hot and cold every minute. I wouldn't have done it without my husband and midwives 💯!

The only motivation i had was to get to the end so i wasnt in pain anymore. ( i was also told by the midwives that i wasnt in labour yet it was just the pain for the prostoglan gel. Till i made then check me because i needed to push and i was 9cm) I think i actually forgot there was a baby at the end of it
