☘️ You've probably found that there's at least one room in your home where, even after you've decluttered it, it still feels cluttered. And that's down to "invisible" clutter, i.e. decorative items.
By doing a home decor declutter and removing all those items from the room, you can drastically change how the space looks and feels. Easier said than done though, right?

My strategy with decor so far has been to keep taking things away until I love it. In the end, it usually looks like an empty space with a couple of things added back in. I mean, if I still love the thing, I can keep it in rotation or in a different spot. However, I don't keep much homeless decor. And I don't permit myself to buy decor until I can think of where I would put it. The best decor pieces have always been the ones I bought for a specific space. 🙂 I certainly have heard that one large statement piece of decor is far more effective than a bunch of smaller ones. That's what I'm aiming for now.

Thank you for your wonderful ideas and tips.. I use to have an Art gallery of pictures of family and friends in my main room.. BTW I love my friends and family but it drove me nuts Its all i could see in my room I moved it into the hall way. Amazing the difference ..I was able to relax in my lounge.. Blessings 🌿

Loving this series and learning so much about myself. I am a collector of "little things" small figurines. I finally decided to use two shelves to display them and I rotate them to keep from having too many visual at one time. I love the idea of taking it away but not getting rid of. I did find that i could let go of some things when i put them away and realized didn't really miss them anymore. Thanks for sharing

Very revealing for me. I have things in certain places and I only ever touch them or look at them to clean underneath. I'm dreading/ very excited about the sentimental stuff.😱 I have an old printer's tray memory box of miniature items. 😂😂 There's a broken rainbow pencil sitting beside a tiny shamrock sticker from a very crazy Paddy's Day over 20 years ago. Someone stuck the wee shamrock sticker on my forehead and I was surprised to see it still there when I got home hours later.😂😂

I'm finding as I get a little older, I'm not so keen on decorating anymore. Although it is pleasing to the eye it also means maintenance dusting moving things around changing things up a little every once in a while. And I'm finding that I have more important things like spending time with my family or going for a long walks. If I'm at home decluttering, dusting then keeping things maintenanced, because I have so much of it... then it owns me instead of me owning it. So not too long ago, I decided to get rid of the majority of my decor and decorative items...except for a few. However now, I find myself saying I don't really need all this. I'm over 50 I plan on living the last half of my life... clutter free and just only the things that I truly need. Now don't get me wrong I will still have a few things to pretty things up. But instead of days packing if I move it will only take me a few hours or maybe one day fully. 💓😁 Thank you for all your videos you really have helped me and so many others on KZbin have helped me value who I am really on inside. 💓😁

Start reselling hard goods or vintage on ebay!...it has made possesions like meaninless to me..except for the few things in my home im ToTaLLY in love with im so sick of everything & selling or donating it!!👌🏼

Not much out , not much surface areas! Do have my sentimental treasures/ decor in my breakfront. Most is used then returned to its happy place. I occasionally rearrange. All is designated to future owners. Most furniture/ possessions will be sold when I move long distance.

been trying to find answer to folding T shirts , i use so much closet space hanging mine, after i hv ironed them, when folding are you able to pull T Shirt out and wear? or does it mean ironing adain ! if you can help GYST or anyone who uses this method Thanks in Advance x

I fold (and store) my T-shirts using the Kon-Mari method and do not need to iron again when I take one out of the drawer to wear

I've never been able to get mine perfectly wrinkle-free while folding, but it doesn't bother me all that much. Unless you need or want your clothes perfectly pressed, it should be just fine. 🙂
