Hello everyone! In today's video, we'll be thrifting aesthetic and affordable home decor finds from Goodwill and other local thrift store chains in my area. So many of you have been enjoying these outings...I definitely have the thrift bug and I thoroughly enjoy showing you all of the minimalist, art deco, and mid-century styled vintage thrift finds I've sourced. Come see the types of home decor accents, accessories, and home goods that I seek while shopping at my favorite vintage thrift locations!
This is a budget-friendly haul! All of the pieces that I'm sharing in this video totaled just under $50 before tax which is incredibly affordable for these unique and eclectic pieces. Be sure to keep an open mind while sourcing your own inexpensive finds.
Onyx candlestick holders, chrome boat figures, catchall dishes, and bowls - we're doing it all! Thrifting has become one of my favorite ways to cut costs when decorating my apartment and I've managed to source one-of-a-kind, unique, and affordable decor pieces for a fraction of the price they'd retail at big box stores like Crate & Barrel, CB2, or Pottery Barn.

I've got that butterfly bowl, mine has held fruit, fruit salad, even ice on my deck bar cart. Right now it holds bead necklaces and bangles on my dresser. I've had it 30 yrs... wedding gift. Husband is gone, but my lovely bowl remains. Hope you enjoy yours. Also, I'm so glad you went back for the sailboat... I love the two you have. Love, love, love... Hi Annette! It’s funny you should mention having received the bowl as a wedding gift. I nonchalantly shared with my Aunt that I found this bowl for $4 and she said she received one as a gift years back too and still had it to this day. Thrifting was never on my radar, for the longest time i though, just like most, that thrift stores were full of others “junk.” But now that I’ve gained an appreciation for it and have such success sourcing beautiful finds, I’m trying to actively share and break the stigma that make surround these types of second hand stores ☺️ thank you for watching!

I’m so happy to hear it, Robin! I love this Nambé bowl...it was definitely a find that I would have never expected to find in a thrift store, much less for only $4. I’ve heard others share they’ve had theirs for 30+ years, my Aunt included, so I know they stand the test of time 🙌🏼 spray paint is one of my go-to’s, I’m really doing my best to remove the negative stigma around it. When thrifting, I’ve found dozens of items I liked that were in the wrong color so I think it’s one of the easiest fixes! Also, the onyx candlestick holders and boat...I was too silly to pass on those the first time around, needless to say I was thrilled they were still there! 👏Bravo! Remember, when you are shooting a video, these is less impulse to attend to self desire. Tapping into allowing the pieces speaking to you will come. We also don't buy at different times for other reasons. Style is intellectual and emotional. Timing is often everything in the resale World. But, research can be key. I think a lot of people do end up passing on an item because it seems to not be in pristine condition, but we can see here, Beau, that you obviously gave these items a good clean and buff, and they look perfect. Thank you, Gregory! It’s true, some items I pass on I realize I should have bought-but the difference lies in “wanting” a piece and actually having a place for it. The crystal bowl for instance, so stunning and a piece I would have loved to nab! But I have at least 8 others so was one more really necessary? 😅 I definitely disinfect, polish, and ready each piece for display! So I learn a lot but it doesn't always help when I want to style my product photos or when I'm out shopping for treasure. I can tell you all about Fenton glass because of those videos but I've never once wanted to ever sell it. Beau!!! Last week, I was screaming at you to pickup the two marble candle holders for only $25/set!!!! I'm glad that they were STILL there when you went back to the antique store!!!! I put "EVERYTHING" I like at "first glance" into the basket!!! Trying NOT to feel "distracted" or "overwhelmed" while shopping!! I loved the brass candleholders. I used to have a complete set of the black octagon dishes back in the 80’s. Long gone but for some reason I still have the black ashtray which I now leave in the garage for visitors who need to smoke.

I experienced this a bit when I lived in New York City so I know that HomeGoods can absolutely be more attainable at times. I’ve definitely scoured a few church thrift stores too, that’s actually where I found the beautiful black marble mortar and pestle a few weekends back! Hey Beau. I love the two milk glass looking pieces. I think that they are vases. I agree that you can find like new pieces and thrifted pieces to work in but a splurge is great also. I want my entire house outfitted still though and there are great furniture outlets around to help one get started on their decor journey. In these crazy times that we live in we all need to be careful about our spending habits because we never know when a big expenditure will come up but I believe one can still have what they want and need as. There is a way to do anything.

I like certain high end items like a good coat or a pair of boots or appliances but there is nothing like getting cheap items that are really practical or if it's knock off in clothing the items look better and are just as durable as high end brands. Of course ,on the cheap, guilt free. Home decor is in a class all it's own because even the "richie of the rich" like cool collectible items at a fraction of their prices.

Beau!!!! I'm so excited!!! I found a set of green marble candlesticks for only $3.99 each at my "high end" Goodwill!!! I was in shock!!! I made sure that I put them into my cart!!! It was worth the 15 miles to travel to get these awesome thrifted items. Also, I purchase a large clear bowl that had four leaves stretched out like a flower for $2.99!!! The glass was very thin!!! I will research the glass bowl to find out if it is vintage. Thank you for the inspiration & knowledge to look for more "refined" items at the thrift store.

Happy Sat Boau, Its like a Treasure Hunt! I use to have a black clock like that but it sat on a cradle, aww those Vases were pretty, Aww the Sail boat, mine was in Brass. Thank you, Sandie! This is really a beautiful compliment. I’m trying to break the mold - for the longest time I believed in order to have a beautiful home things must be new, expensive, or designer. But this couldn’t be further from the truth! Most of the best (and my favorite) items that I have in my home were either thrifted, bought off of Facebook Marketplace, or apps like OfferUp! My goal is to share this with others in hopes of opening minds to what treasures can be found in the second hand market. I appreciate you learning with me 😁
