I like the blush color idea for the wood antiques. The picnic basket and gold frame were great finds. I suggest painting the flat/wall baskets blush inside with gold edging. You made have to dry clean the pillows; if the covers aren't removable.

Now that you have done a lot at your home in LA it is great that you use your talents to redecorate your parents home. The picnic basket will make a stunning storage box. For a hobby seeing as that room was your moms office.

Just to let you know they make Lysol disinfecting laundry detergent! You could use that in the washing machine with those pink pillows to make sure they’re clean & free of any dirt/germs. 😊

Hey Kristen, put those pillows in the washer, cold water gentle cycle, dry outside, flat, in the sun! Turn over and do other side after a couple hour! 👍

Pillows. Put in a plastic bag and put in your car trunk for a week. The heat will kill everything and you don’t risk wrecking the material or fluff.

Some folks are right about the cold cycle on gentle wash, but make sure to get some of the Lysol disinfecting laundry additive. It's fantastic. The Flu left my house in 3 days with the help of that stuff. Air dry them in the sun for a little while, but if you ever need to fluff them, stick then in the dryer on low heat with dryer balls (Grove has those if you don't!), or a couple tennis balls! It will beat the fluff nice and help keep the original shape!

I find it interesting that the very embellished or boho stuff I grew up on is making a comeback. Wish the tuscan and heavily tiled home decor makes its return because I just bought a house full of it and NOT ripping it out!

Since finding your channel I have found some awesome baskets and a pretty print at the thrift store and found some great deals on home decor on our local market place sites. New lamps, more baskets a beautiful rug, upscale dish wear and chargers to dress up my dining room table. I have re-freshened my entry way, dinning and living room all for around $250🙌

For pillows, just leave them out in the sun for a day each side. It’ll kill a lot of bacteria, germs, etc. It takes care of odours. I’ve had it work for cat pee in a suitcase before (those darn cats!). Nothing else got the smell out except leaving it outside in the sun. The picnic basket, I used for a sewing basket before. Same one! Love your style! I’m just about to reno a fifth wheel trailer and I’m watching your channel for inspiration :)

If you're just planning on throwing out the painting in the frame anyways, maybe you could try to use it for a DIY of some kind? Like make some DIY notebooks with it? Or maybe line the inside of a little trinket box or some drawers (depending on the texture of it)? It's a pretty pattern, just not necessarily as a large piece of wall art.

Any pillow you can't wash, but in dryer for the 35-45 mins. Spray with Lysol or fabreeze befor hand & let dry. Then the dryer or extreme out door heat both sides for I- 2 hrs. each side

I have a hand held steamer that would kill any germs on the pillows the steam is really hot so I would invest in a steamer.

Wash pillows in cold water on delicate. If they are pillow covers remove them. Let them air dry then put in dryer on air to fluff up.

One way to clean your pillows is to use the Dryel cleaning kit. If they really aren't dirty but you just want to freshen them up, you can just put them in the dryer with a damp lint-free towel and a dryer sheet on medium heat for about 30 minutes. The moisture will create a little bit of steam which will plump the fibers and loosen up any creases. The dryer sheet will prevent static and add some fresh smell. The tumbling process will loosen dust.They will come out like new. This also works great for stuffed animals. It is very important that you use a cloth that does not give off lint because it can stick to your pillows creating "pilling". A flour sack towel or a clean white pillow case works well. Also, don't use anything that is a dark color as it could fade into your pillows.

If you put them in the dryer on high heat it will kill any germs. Keep them in there for 40 min. Someone probably decided they didn’t want the basket and just sat it down. It’s such a great find.

Kirsten wash the pillows on a wool wash no heat. If you can take the pillow covers off that would be great as the inner would have movement in the washer. I have a deep velvet green pillow decorative pillow cases on my main rooms bed that has the blush pink in and the inner is duck feathers and that is how I washed my pillows. If you can another tip is don’t dry them in the tumble dryer let them dry outside.

I have that same basket!!! I use it for my sewing supplies. Also resale shops have to sanitize the pillows before they resell them it’s a federal law. I’m obsessed with that brass frame my house is done in a 60’s -70’s revival with a ton of brass

I found that SAME exact picnic basket at a local thrift store in the D/FW metroplex! I was lucky to find it with all of the original pieces. It came with the blanket, four plates, cups, silverware, and cloth napkins. Best $4.99 I spent, and I used it for a picnic date in the park with my boyfriend!

Raphael Graunt you should look for ones like Salvation Army/ Goodwill or ones that are more specific to your area. I have definitely been to shops that are only clothes but furniture shopping is by far my favorite!

Maybe you could spray the pillows with a disinfectant spray or wipe them with disinfectant wipes Laundering them may take the body out of them or worse

Just wash in gentle cycle, if they are fibre fill ( are light in weight , down is heavier) the spin cycle does a good job of getting most of the water out, just hang them to dry.
