What a great crew, it’s a great learning experience for kids to learn to read & follow directions, even if the directions may need to be interpreted & tweaked. I really appreciated the box sizing for transporting. I’m just glad my ceilings aren’t as tall. I like you’re attitude regarding those who question your abilities. The ladder & ceiling fan installation convinced me you made the right investment. Thank you for video.

Thank you for watching our video and giving us a positive feedback! My wife feels very comfortable on the scaffolding herself, as she has been using it to annually clean the fan, paint our fireplace, and wipe down the high walls & windows. so Razor Bucks, what about carrying things up to it and installing something, like a heavy painting? Also, you immediately noticed the Box 1 and Box 1, not to mention the really thin and general instructions. Were they enough to explain the 2 Box 1's and put everything else together? It seems more complicated than what was in that think pamphlet. Also, can you add on to the height with an additional set?
@RazorBucks
@RazorBucks 5 жыл бұрын
I use it for my ceiling fan regular. The fan is at the 16' level approximately. I think it would be a lot easier to hang a picture using this scaffolding, because you can be right on the wall. I am using two 6' sets combined together, but I would strongly advise against going any higher without outriggers. You can purchase a safety top with fencing, if you are concerned about being up so high without any gating. I agree with the difficulty in bringing things up, but if you are using more than one set, you should place what ever you need to bring up on the first platform and then climb on the inside to the second platform with smaller items like paint. For larger items, you need to have your spotter help you lift it up on the side, with you on the top platform and your helper on the first platform. It was somewhat difficult to build, but not really that bad, I would put it at a 2.5 out of 5 for difficulty. It can be done alone, but a helper will make things go so much easier. The directions were not great, but easy enough to figure out what the goal was. Keep the box, the pictures will help on the parts where the manual is deficient.

Both the scaffolding and a good helper are definitely worth their weight in gold. Please do keep in mind that the floor pass through is not the greatest and does not open very far. I contacted metal tech and was told the engineers designed it that way for a reason. When I pressed about safety and it not opening all the way / having to hold it open to pass through, I received no valid response. I always climb on the outside of mine, but not everyone wants to do that, especially when you are 12’ in the air. I like them, but I also want to be honest about their flaw.

All in all, it works as expected; easy, but of course somewhat heavy, to assemble. It doesn't really sway, as long as you're on an flat leveled hard surface. I plan on purchasing another one, to add on to the existing one, so that my wife can use it when ever she wants.

Aliya Widener I would not think so, so long as you have everything assembled correctly, but that is just my opinion. Are you on solid level ground / floor? Be sure to lock your wheels, move slowly, and have a spotter. Very disappointed. I bought one of these. I did not like the trap door opening at all. The design is poor. The door opening is limited by a flexible strap which is not long enough for the door to stay open. The only way to keep it open is to use one of my hands. Then I only have one hand left to climb up the sides for a ladder. Impossible for a straight up ladder. I watched the video to see how you went through the door, because I can''t figure it out. You didn't show this. It shows how to open the door. Next you are on top. How did you get through it? Why didn't you show this, the most critical part? I have ended up using a ladder which mounts on the end. I tie it to the scaffolding at the top with bailing wire so it won't slip. I then drilled holes in a 2x4 to mount a support pole to help me transition from the ladder to the scaffolding floor, which is about a foot below the top--low enough so that the top cross beam is awkwardly high. The scaffold is nice, but it has a lot of drawbacks. I had hoped your video would have showed how to solve one of then and that issue, as important as it is, was not shown. A thumbs up if you had shown this, but as it is, a thumbs down.
