I always like seeing the "double take" that Kenny gives Adam during the "6" part. It's like he's thinking, "How in the world is this Freak of Nature making these sounds?" lol

You seriously need to do another song with Home Free. I loved when You were with them. Seriously. Chris, do another collaboration with home free. I would love to see this.

I love watching your comments and BTS info on the group. Only a member, former or current, can bring the meaning of the hard work you all went through making these songs and collaborating with one of the greats. RIP, Kenny. You have been loved and appreciated since you sang with The first Edition. And thank you, Chris, for all your hard work, as well as the other guys❤

My man, this song is brilliant. And what an honor for HF to sing with Kenny Rogers! All of you together made this arrangement sound amazing. Kudos to your stunning arrangement of Angel We Have Heard on High! It was my favorite ever! Blessings to you and yours!

Thank you Chris! My 3 year old great nephew has been singing this song at the top of his lungs all through this season. Has all the lyrics down and belts the "How" full out, trying to match Kenny Rogers.

Chris, you talked about the repetition, but the arrangement held enough variety that I found myself in anticipating what was happening and not a yawn in sight. I love this rendition you guys made. Kenny was a part of growing up years and it was fun watching you guys enjoying working with a legend. Every time I hear it I have a huge smile on my face. Thank you for now and thank you for back then. Merry Christmas!

It’s really interesting to hear the story behind this collaboration. The camera person seemed to give you less “screen time “than the others, but it was nice to see more of Adam than we usually do.

Always love the BTS info as only you, a former member of HF, could describe it. Almost all reactors only watch the finished video with no sense of what went into its creation. I try to share tidbits from your videos, perhaps things to notice, be aware of, etc. Educate those who I feel are seriously heading down the HF rabbithole. Quite a few go into watching this based solely on recommendations because of the season, sometimes a tad reluctant, and come away very entertained, loving the interpretation. Happy Holidays!

Dynamics add such an irreplaceable element to music, and they’re so rare in a cappella music. Mostly it’s vocal layering, but here it’s both. I’d forgotten how amazing the dynamics were in this arrangement - incredible!! Thanks for another listen.

Yeah, I knew that was a real kick for you guys. I could tell that the Oak Ridge Boys collab was a blast, too. It was fun to see the high frequency blast off. Two 'hair parters' Maxcell commercial reference' goin at, and with, each other. "That was me" in that silly voice...LOL. You are still having fun with it, apparently. Good stuff, the stuff of life. Your arranger nerding out was sneaking out here and there. :-) I heard all Kenny's stuff when it was originally released, and really loved a bunch of it. The loss of monetary gain in exposure missing the tonight show was probably a lot more than 15 grand, too.

I first saw Kenny Rogers when he was still with his band "The First Edition". They had a TV show in the early 1970s called "Rollin'' on the River" that was taped in Toronto, Ontario (I think it ran for a year). I recall being envious of a classmate who'd gone to a taping with her boyfriend. I love this collaboration HF did with Kenny Rogers but I'm saddened to learn that his mobility was restricted. Thanks for the history and best wishes to you and yours in the New Year!

I can clarify... my mother was Kenny's kid's music teacher! He was talking with her one day about how he was trying to book Pentatonix to collab with but their schedule was so busy. My mom asked if he had heard of Home Free, and when he hadn't, she suggested he look them up, as they had just recently won The Sing Off (which my family LOVED watching). And the rest is history!

Extraordinaire ?! well we will let that go ... you did a great job growing what was a college project - turning it into a workable Vocal Group ..... it was good way back then, great when you got Rust and even after changes early on and of course with you leaving for personal endeavors - getting another THREE register singer similar skills as Tim Foust - though no one is. Other than your Pofah - good to have the reminiscing herein. GBjj
