A beautiful collaboration. Mark Wills is a great singer(this his original) And then my favorite group Home Free in the background sounds fabulous. A beautiful song and video with a sad subject and important message. I know what bullying is. Not by children, but by the teachers. I never told my family and thought I could handle it all. Now I am almost 59 years old, and only 2 years ago did I find out what bullying has determined my life. It's so good that it's getting attention. Because bullying has to end. Think about what you're doing to someone like that. That what you say about Home Free stepping back and making another singer the center of attention is one of the things I respect about Home Free so much. That's one of the reasons they're the number one group for me. It's not just the great voices. But also have their personalities and no egos whatever you hear in their music. It's feeling when they sing. They are close to ordinary people. About Mark Wills. He's been singing for a long time. I think this song is from almost 15 years ago, but unfortunately remains so topical. He has more wonderful songs, including "Wish You Were Here"

This came out a few years ago Mark wrote it and sang it for his daughter, who was bullied. That's her that comes out to him at the end. Home Free just added a deeper melody.

Thanks for your reaction! This song has a very powerful message to a very serious subject. Love that Home Free isn't afraid to tackle the issue of bullying. And I really appreciate that Home Free doesn't take the limelight away from the original artist & the message.

Home Free are just amazing gentlemen. They believe in the right things, and they have no egos, even though they are as good as they are. Mark Wills is an awesome singer who had a few hits including this song back in 1998. It climbed to #2 on the country charts. That lady in the blue singing with Mark at the end, is his beautiful daughter. I was that kid in school...4 eyes I was called, as well as Flacco (Spanish for skinny or weak), queer, f*ggot, and any other number of names...so this song has always hit home in my feels. Home Free is THE BEST !!!

So this is an awesome collab and song. This is Mark's song from back in early 2000's and it was an emotional tear jerker then, more so than this vid. Mark is a great rabbit hole to check out. It is very easy to get angry at bullies and not put a better foot forward and be the bigger person, but bullies gain power by beating people, so if you can "not be beat" and be the better person, then the bullies don't win. Enjoyed the reaction Craig!! ❤

When the original of this song came out, it hit home hard and even now, it still does. School for me was a misery. Bullying among girls is often "relational" bullying - pretending to be friends and then humiliating the victim. Even worse, when I was in school teachers and principals blamed me for being bullied. They said I lacked social skills. I never fit in because I was a nerd, a bookworm and they kept telling me I should try harder to be like everybody else. I am 50 years old and because of my experiences in school, I still have trouble accepting that anyone really wants to be my friend. I am always wondering what they really think. Sometimes the effects are lifelong. I have some acquaintances, but few real friends.

Have watched countless reactions to this and it always elicits emotion. Even to the extremes of uncontrolled sobbing and intense rage. Lots of stories from both reactors and those commenting as to how pervasive the problem of bullying is. Appreciate Home Free and Mark Wills for raising awareness to an issue which really needs 24/7/365 attention. Have read that the young man, featured in the video, is the CEO of '21 Pineapples.'

Powerful message to a pretty but sad song. Bullying is awful and there’s a lot of it around. Home Free does a lot of work with charities. Mark has a really nice voice. That was his daughter in blue who joined him at the end. I think she was bullied when she was young. Good reaction Taylor. 🥰

Thanks for getting to this one!! An excellent cover! Mark is the original artist and the woman that joins in at the end of the song is his daughter. Unfortunately, this message is still desperately needed. Even though he was bullied his first thought was to help them by giving them lunches. He saw that maybe they needed compassion for something they were going through too. That wouldn't have been my first thought either. So he's a better person than me, lol. I share your anger and would put a stop to it if I ever saw it. Even as a kid, I made a habit of standing up for the kids that were targeted. It's how I was raised. Mark is another great artist to dive into. More suggestions would be I Do Wish You Here

That's what happens when a group has no ego. They step back and let the music and message take center stage. They are some of the most decent, kind people there are. Their authenticity of spirit is another reason they are so endearing and why the Home Fries are so fiercely loyal to them. And I agree, bullying is so cowardly and cruel. It's disgusting. Great reaction, yet again.

I was that kid that was always picked last for teams in elementary P.E., until the man next door gave me a crash course in pitching and batting for softball. I have no relationship with my father and no one in my mom's family is terribly athletic. I went from being the last one picked to the third or second to last, but it was quite a promotion for me. LOL I will also never forget the girl in middle school P.E., who was part of the tough "edgy" crowd, that taught me the secret to throwing a football.

I despise bullies. I was never bullied in school or in life but I always stood up to the bullies who bullied others. I took karate as a child. I started at age 5. By the time I got in highschool the bullies were becoming less and less. I would confront the bully. I never threw the first punch if it did come to a fight but I also never lost a fight if the bully did throw a punch. Soon I was known as the person who protected kids who were bullied. People respected me. I protected others in school from being bullied and we did not have too many bullies because it made a difference. Especially after me weighing 103 lbs and a female taking down the football captain after he was bullying kids in the special needs classroom. He shoved me when I spoke up to him for bullying and I dropped him. He then got to see what it felt like to be laughed at and bullied. I was never suspended or expelled as I never threw the first punch. It was a different time in school back then when you could defend someone or protect yourself or others. It was the late 70's early 80's. Nowadays a child can't even defend themselves or others from being bullied in school. That is why bullying had become so bad. The anti bully program has increased bullying because the bullies never get what's owed to them. They don't even get suspended for bullying. #stop bullying

If it makes you angry, then there's a better chance of making a change so it doesn't happen any more. I say that because I am 100% Native American and the bullying that I went through wouldn't have stopped if I gave them food like in the video. Mainly because it wasn't always kids that bullied me, but teachers as well. As a kid, you think that adults won't bully you like kids do, but they were worse. Not all, but enough to make even school miserable.

I've never liked the Home Free video because it's rewarding the bullies. And yes, sometimes hurt people hurt, and just need to be reached out to. But most of the time that isn't the solution.
@tjk200081
@tjk200081 Жыл бұрын
How is it rewarding the bullies? They're just trying to portray that loving your enemies by showing kindness can help improve a situation. Is it hard, absolutely. If they're never sorry, then that's on them. However, by always being kind, you or someone else can rise above it all. This is coming from me, someone that was bullied a lot in my younger years. I'm sad to say that I unfortunately did some bullying myself. I'm not proud if it. I did ask the person I bullied to forgive me years later. I didn't want to bring up bad memories for this person, so I made excuses. This person forgave me when I did ask for forgiveness. Some people can change, & I realize some people don't change (my dad is in the last category), but always choose kindness & forgiveness. Forgiveness doesn't mean you have to be a doormat. You can forgive someone without forgetting.
