The reason we like reactors to wait is because if you don't know the group well enough, you don't appreciate the change ups. Besides, we Home Fries love to anticipate your reactions to Home Free's surprise moments. It's become more common for Chance to take over bass so that Tim can run wild wherever he wants. Lol! We always talk about Tim's 5 octave range, but Chance (I've read) has a 4 octave range himself. And it's getting harder to tell who's covering the bassline if the cameras aren't on them. What can you say? Home Free is a herd of magical Unicorns that spreads joy like glitter everywhere! No matter your mood Home Free has a song for you! 🦄❤

Exactly why everyone needs to wait to hear this one. They all take their voices to the highest and lowest of their abilities! Chance is the second bass of the group

This is nowhere near Tim’s highest ability. It’s a great cover but he has plenty left to give that wasnt in this performance

Both Tim and Chance have about a 5 octave range. The talent in this group is astounding and wonderful.

Year 2 of the Sing Off. I think they came in second. Some of it's on KZbin. It's fun to see Chance in his former group.
@johndeeregreen45922 жыл бұрын
People hear Tim and think that's a normal bass... when he is technically a contrabass. Adam Chance is a bass-baritone, with a STRONG baritone range and a decent bass range, while also being able to cover low tenor. Chance really is a secret weapon for Home Free.

The lady who wrote and sang this is Cam. These guys all sang this IN HER KEY.....including Tim. Chance takes over the bass when Tim sings lead. Check out Unchained Melody and listen to Chance's doo-wop bass job.

This is about as "pop" sounding as you'll get from Home Free and they do it with their usual unconventional style. Yes Chance can sing bass when Tim goes higher !! He was such an awesome addition to the band...the versatility of his voice is just awesome !

A young female country artist named Cam had a hit with this. The guys are singing this in her key. So they needed 3 tenors and Tim said "OK I can do that." "Chance you got bass."

Time for some Chance leads. “I Can’t Outrun You “…5 part harmony, Chance directed the video. “Cover Me Up”, and let the video play out as there is a surprise. “Yours”. Then “Blue Ain’t Your Color “, Rob lead, shared with Chance. It’s a Motown style arrangement, with Temptations style choreography.

And now you understand why you had to wait for Mayday. 🤣 It's best to know the guys and their voices and general roles in the group. That way you can drop your jaw when Tim comes in with Tenor. Chance always helps out with the lower stuff. When Tim takes higher registers, Chance is there to handle the lower ones. Chance is great!!
@dagmar.69542 жыл бұрын
This song is one of my favorites. So glad you waited to react to it. Your surprise at hearing the switch ups in the voices was great. Tim can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. And Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. The original song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original.
@m.b.64022 жыл бұрын
I take real pleasure in Chance, and am so glad he joined Home Free. It's not just that he "can" sing in a range from low tenor to bass. It's that he sings well, with real character and flavor to his work that makes it shine in its own right. Really, there's not a singer in this group that doesn't deserve to get solo bits, because they're all that good.
@sandrastorer56282 жыл бұрын
Shout out to flight attendants! Don't know if you've already hit their cover of Folsom Prison Blues, but you'd get a taste of Chance's range in that one too, besides being a really cool rendition. And Tim goes subwoofer shaking.

It’s funny because there are indications on the videos you’ve already seen-for example, Tim hits some beautiful high runs in “Ring of Fire” and Chance digs deep in “Folsom Prison Blues”-but people tend to forget because it isn’t as in-your-face as this. I love watching reactions to this!!! These guys are incredibly versatile and astonishingly talented.

This is my favorite Home Free cover song besides "How Great Thou Art" & some of their Christmas songs. Just remember, "Chance" was the BASS singer for "Street Corner Symphony". His range isn't as wide as Tim's but it's still great! The "change ups" are the reason Home Fries ask reactors to wait until they KNOW the guys & what they normally do in the group before they react to "Mayday"! This just shows how incredibly talented these guys really are!!!😊

Fantastic reaction and this is why us "Fries" asked you to wait. It's simply to see your reaction to these little surprises. Can't wait to see more. @DyvmSlorm2 жыл бұрын
Yup, you were 100% ready . Amazing thing about this five man group is they have three bassists: Chance, Tim, and Adam. Five tenors: Chance, Tim, Adam, Rob, and Austin. Five beatboxers: Chance, Tim, Adam, Rob, and Austin. Along with those roles they have a ground shaking seismic bass in Tim, a freak of nature vocal percussionist in Adam, a sky high tenor in Austin, a silky soulful tenor in Rob, and a sultry salt of the earth baritone in Chance. First, I thought you said this group was only five guys and how did they find so many guys with the same names? Yeah, five guys, Tim, Rob, Adam, Austin, and Chance. Thats only five.

Yep, the switcheroo! We just don’t like reactors to do it too early before they know their voices. Tim went high and Chance went low. Chance used to be a bass in his first group so he’s capable and having him in HF allows Tim to go to this tenor range more often and Chance to take the bass. Pretty cool. Love this song. I didn’t know it until HF did it. Good reaction AB!!🥰😍

Thanks AB, for doing this song, and again your wonderful reaction. This probably TMI - But, I wanted to let you know how much your reactions, and sense of humor mean to me. As someone of ill health (cancer and numerous other health issues) and no Quality of Life, and nothing expected to get better. Your reactions make my days better. I'll be 65 mid April, and will not be able to do anything but watch Netflix, or listen to music and KZbin reactions. I haven't left the house except for medical appointments, labwork, procedures, treatments and surgeries since October 26, 2019. Besides reaction videos I listen to music, both are my escape mechanism to "zone out" and escape. If I had one group to recommend it would 3 ANGELS, that along with Home Free and many others have gotten me through some dark days [including yourself]. They are the Rainbow Girls, and mostly under known outside the west coast. Trio of 3 ladies, making good music. What genre? You tell me, rock, blues, folk, or all the above. I'll say this, you can't go wrong with a stand up bass, a slide guitar player, and a cute redheaded keyboardist (well she can play guitar and harmonica as well). This video has two songs in it, 8 minutes total. The 1st song is "Something I've Been Meaning to Say" The second song ques up at the 4:17 mark, "It's Alright" kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHnLmnt3mKh3kJY There's an original song they wrote about an incident of police brutality in Baton Rouge, it's tribute to the son of the man killed unjustly by the BRPD. "Cameron Sterling" kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXykeHVndr56qqM - At my age, I could list groups and songs from 1965 to present. But I won't. The last 3 years I've been searching out the new and up and comers, not necessarily young people. I was amazed at the number of artists out there mastering their craft, and without computerized digited crap. They took the time and put in the work, to learn. I'll close now. Thanks Again for everything you do, I know how time consuming it must be.
