This is stunning, so moving and poignant. Don McLean, 78 years old and still singing beautifully, like a man half his age, what a complete legend! And who better than Home Free to do justice to this wonderful song? A real work of art! Rob’s beautiful singing brought a tear to my eye, he could have sung the lead throughout and would absolutely have done a wonderful job. I truly believe that Vincent Van Gogh would have approved of this tribute to his life!

Thank you so much. This is one of my all time favorites. Rob, your voice paired with Don's is perfect. Austin, you just meld beautifully with Don and Rob. I have been used to hearing Don singing solo all these years, but what a gorgeous addition of Chance, Adam and Tim. Adam, I marvel at your beat boxing, but it is always a wonderful treat when you are part of backing vocals. I don't know how these collaborations occurred, but what a wonderful, wonderful surprise. Don, thank you for entrusting your beautiful song with the guys. You created such a gorgeous song and their addition was perfect. Thank you all again.

Such a great song by Don McLean! What a great remake with Home Free! Rob's voice is perfect for this song. Such a beautiful tribute to the sad life of the painter Vincent Van Gogh. He suffered from depression & committed suicide. He never saw any success during his life. But now his paintings are worth millions of dollars.

I cry every time i hear this, I have a grandson named Vincent who tried to commit suicide at 16, he called a friend for help(thank god) and they got him to the hospital in time. I can totally understand what you said. Problem is… a person could just have one day - one bad incident - to make them feel like they messed up so bad that they feel suicide is the only answer. I speak as the mother of a son who tried that route because he decided to go out with a fellow student one night and they were throwing rocks. My son had just turned 18, was weeks away from graduating and going into the Service. The kids got into trouble, when my son came home, he took a shotgun and shot himself - I was in the room…. I couldn’t figure out what he was doing in the closet until I heard the first “click”. I remember yelling at him to not do it, but it was too late. I couldn’t open the closet to get to him & when I called 911, he spoke saying he was alive. The surgeons worked on him for hours that night. He spent a couple of months in the hospital. I remember one “doctor” who kept trying to tell us he was depressed and needed to be sent away. He fought with her and kept saying it was that one time because he felt he totally messed up and wouldn’t be able to get in the Service as he had planned for years (my husband is retired military & our son wanted to do his part). His Recruiter told me he would not have had any problems - he knew my son very well, but…… Today….. over 20 years later, he is totally blind, has no nose (tried a prosthetic, but he was allergic to the glue), he has no upper palate, and relies on a trache. When he was first released, the docs had a feeding tube inserted & he was on a liquid diet. The tube kept coming out because he was moving around too much. Drs thought he’d never be able to eat solid food again, he fooled them there, too! He takes boxing lessons from a great trainer (he is a professional in FL), and he is about a year away from finishing Law School. That night over 20 years, he told me he felt an angel with him and it was the angel who helped move the shotgun. So…… DEPRESSION IS REAL, but there ARE those, like my son, who just had ONE THING, ONE DAY cause the depression which no one was prepared for. Believe me when I say, my other children were quite traumatized, and one had the hardest time visiting my mom in the hospital when she was dying a year later. They others are married and have children of their own now - they know what happened and love spending time and talking with their Uncle (oh, yes - the doctors all thought he’d never be able to talk again - like eating FOOD, he fooled them all - something they admitted surprised them but really made them rethink everything they thought they knew). It only takes one thing to make a person snap. I am grateful that he did not succeed all those years ago……. J

Vincent was my favorite artist. At some point I learned of his "challenges" and the love that his brother Theo had for him. Theo knew that even tho he only sold one painting in his lifetime that he was great beyond the understanding in the art community at that time so he kept him supplied with supplies and a meager livelihood. The bond was so great that after Vincent died, Theo followed him just a few months later. Don did a great job with the writing of this song, and to hear him with these guys just puts the cherry on the pie!

This is truly phenomenal! What a voice Don McLean still has! Wow. And of course Austin also sang great, but Rob's voice is just perfect for this song. His voice so warm, soft as silk and full of emotion. The quiet background vocals and guitar playing complete it for me. It's the same song as my youth, but with the Home Free twist it's something different. A beautiful song where I, of course, as a Dutch person, know the history of Vincent van Gogh well. If I could, I would have given Don McLean and Home Free a bouquet of sunflowers in memory of Vincent. The sunflower one of his most famous paintings 🌻...... 💖 💖💖💖💖💖

That was absolutely glorious. I saw Don in the 70s in Ipswich UK and I will never forget it. His voice is still the same it's incredible, and Rob your solo was best I have ever heard you do, it sent shivers up my spine. I would love you guys to do YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE which is almost an anthem here in UK. You are all stunning singers and I wish Austin well with his solo career xx

What about this: Sittin' and Thinkin' by Charlie Rich, we want Rob Lundquit to take full lead, will used chest dominant throughout whole song with different thicker and thinner soundings that we see different tone from Rob Lundquit to try Charlie Rich’s tone with some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony blend with the lead so prominent by: Adam Chance and collaborate with Home Free by Austin Brown, Tim Foust whatever he pick any bass register he will used and the time signature for the bassline.

My dear Home Free boys; I was a junior in high school when this song first hit the airwaves and was often playing on my car radio and was always one of my favorites. This version to me is better than the original; it gives the song a new depth and warmth. Don sounded amazing, Rob was perfect for this and Rob and Austin’s harmonies were magical. I think I’ve listened to this at least 50 times already, it is so special. You are by far my favorite group, you touch my soul like no other group has or can. Please don’t ever stop making such beautiful music, you have an effect on people much deeper than you may realize. Love you guys! ❤
