Plot twist: Danny is actually Mary's husband who was supposed to take his pain medication for his jaw that dislocates itself at random points ever since he was hit in the jaw by a German soldier's buttstock in WWII, however he accidentally took some of his wife's LSD tablets that she had become addicted to after taking them to get over the loss of her daughter who died in a horrible car accident.
