During a dark and bitter winter, two brothers are struggling to run a Home Kills and butchery business. With dwindling clients and a large debt they owe to the local standover man ‘Woods'. Tom and Mark desperately agree to help kill and process one of cantankerous local, Mr Taioma's, ageing animals.
On Taioma’s remote, run-down property, things take a sharp turn. A scuffle ensues and Mark uses a cattle prod, sending a bolt of electricity through Mr Taioma, causing a fatal heart attack. The two brothers scramble, trying to cover up what has happened - eventually finding a unique but practical solution... “Let’s turn him into dog roll.” This sets off a chaotic chain of events that reverberate around the small farming community they call home.
