8:20 Never use the print/label as indicator for the orientation! There are clear markers on the side where pin 1 resides, often a notch, a hole or dot or a line. Only use these for the orientation. It is normally also specified in the Datasheet. If the PCB Design is good, then there are pin 1 markers like square pads or a 1 on the silk screen.

I am aware of it, but unfortunately (as you can see on the EEPROM picture) there is no marker so I had to oriantate by labels only

Merry Christmas.. Did you get any feedback from quansheng regarding the uv6 transmitting on 10 and 11 metres from factory without any modifications ? If someone starts selling something like this they will sell millions of of units, the only other one similar to this I tha Albrecht ae2990 but the quality is awful

I liked the radio until I saw it does 1 KHz tuning steps from the main knob, is that what it is limited to or how it was set up to tune? Merry Christmas from Qatar, A75HF

Well, there are two firmwares with Si4732 chip support and sadly both of them offers minimum step 1kHz. I don't know if this is just HW limit or a SW issue. Even on CW is it the same.

The EEPROM has 2 Mega-Bit (2mB) and NOT 2 Mega-Byte (2MB)! That's a factor of 8, what results in 256 kB (Kil-Byte).

Na sundani 8 pin SMD bych použil měděný drár 1,5mm2 ohnutý okolo všech noh a pak to prohřál vše najednou. U přizvedávání drátkem hrozí utržení z PCB.

When you solder a tiny wire to a SMD component the at least make a small expansion loop or curve to the wire or you will soon crack your tiny smd. Read IPC 610A concerning repair of circuit boards.

Your Methode of removing an IC is the word I have seen ever, you will soon destroy a PCB. A better Methode is to use a heat gun or to use a special Solder iron tip or the simplest way to cut all the pins from the IC with a scalpel and desolater each pin separately. Your workmanship sucks
