Not sure if it is an option for your trap Robert but you could slice up the funnels leading into the trap so it expands when they try to get inside the trap, but not when they try to exit. This way you can get larger iguanas while not letting the smaller ones escape.

At first I thought "WHAT?" but then I realized I was introduced to turtle when I was a youngster by my grandparents. It was good and since then I snake, alligator and loved it. I would surely try it. In Central America, we stew those in coconut milk, then rice and beans, breadkind on the side, very expensive plate, if you go to a restaurant, but they are because, it's not easy getting them unless you go into the bush and hunt them down, Florida, they don't eat them, soo, you got a lot running around in urban neighborhood, well prepared with the right seasoning ingredient, they taste very good!!

instead of a funnel make a trapdoor style entrance like used on the Dungeons' crab traps. Use something heavy like cattle panel metal but with small holes and it should work great. Light enough then can lift it to go under yet heavy enough they cant bend it to get back out.
