HOME MONITORING WITH NO FEES! | Eufy Homebase S380 & SoloCam S220

I bought eufy after watching your vids. I get tons of notifications all day when the kids are coming and going, playing outside, etc. Can eufy not notify me AND not record and save if it’s family members? Otherwise, what is the point of Eufy recognizing family faces, family dog, and familiar cars??? What I want is Eufy to only record and notify if it’s a ‘stranger’. Is there a way to do this??

This was a great video. I too placed an order for the Eufy cameras and planning to replace my Arlo cameras.

Looked like you selected home base 2 when setting up the homebase? When you had a homebase 3. Maybe that caused a problem?

Looks like you’re right. I might have tapped Homebase 2… But looking at my setup now, it shows Homebase S380, so the issue seems to have resolved itself.

I discovered that the outdoor cams don’t need WiFi to connect to the homebase. But the indoor cameras do.

Love the doorbell so far! I’ve had Ring and Arlo, and I’m happiest with Eufy.

Eufy had an uninterruptible power supply for the HomeBase2. Hopefully Eufy has something similar for the HomeBase3 or the previous model UPS works with the newer HomeBase3.

Can the pole mounts on your link, attatch to a squarish/rectangular downspout?

I noticed that Eufy support is more customer support than they are tech support. Meaning they’re great when you’re going to return something and get a replacement piece of hardware however they’re not so good with giving you troubleshooting advice. Also, I would bypass using the chat system and just call the support number in the app directly you won’t even have to wait in line. They have a callback service that hold your place in line.

Can you live stream on the cameras?

You can view the cameras live. I don’t think you’d be able to view the solar cameras for a long time without running out of juice though…unless they had lots and lots of sunlight.

The cameras are designed to record short video clips (say, 30 sec) each time the canera detects something, not continuous streaming.

@cypriankiba8 you can select how long the video is after it is activated (I use 30 sec) and if you want to be alert by a note or a note withb a thumbnail. You can click on the alert note to view the video. You can also view all video csptures later. You can select what you want to be alerted for: vehicle, human, pet, and/or other.
